Do I talk too much? Might as well tell me now before I end up taking up more room then the actual chapter.
[3rd Person]
Jiwoo walked out of the store. He was happy to have gotten so much of the cats, but rueful that he had forgotten once again to buy food for himself.
He wondered about Nabi, and what might have caused the blue-haired girl to become mute. Or was she born that way? At any rate, he was happy to have met another person who loved cats just as much as he did.
He walked down the street to the crosswalk, stopping by the busy traffic light.
While he was standing, he shifted his backpack around so the pack was facing forward, and set the bag of cat treats and toys in his already full school bag.
"I came to this store to buy things for myself, and ended up shopping for the cats...again!"
"My cats will like these though, that's all that matters."
Jiwoo wasn't talking to anyone in particular, but a few of the people around him still smiled at his words, seeing his obvious dedication and love for his cats.
A few feet away from Jiwoo, a woman was on the phone trying to drown out the outside noise so she could focus on the call. Her little son was happily bouncing a ball on his knee, trying to get his mother's attention.
Suddenly, the ball bounced off his knee and into the street. The boy quickly ran after it, chasing the ball directly into the path of an oncoming car.
The boy stopped as he heard the car horn, his frightened eyes shining in the headlights.
Jiwoo ran towards the child, and time seemed to slow.
He sped to the boy, grabbing him inches before the car would have hit the child, and bringing him safely to the other side of the road.
Time was normal again. But for everyone but Jiwoo, it had never changed in the first place.
Jiwoo was panting from the adrenaline coursing through his body as he held the confused child. Jiwoo released his hold on the child, "Are you alright?"
The boy blinked a few times, still in shock, "Huh? Y-yes."
"You're not hurt. Be more careful next time, a ball is not worth your life." Jiwoo told the boy seriously.
All around them, people were wondering what had happened.
"Did you see that?"
"It looked like the kid was about to get hit, then he just...disappeared."
"I...I saw that too...what happened?"
"Isn't that the kid over there?"
Jiwoo gulped, nervous. "Uh-oh..."
He stood up, "I've got to go." Jiwoo told the child, anxious to get away before people noticed him.
"Hojin!" the boy's worried mother cried, searching for her child anxiously.
"Mom?" he said, searching the crowd for her.
"I'm lucky to have this power, to have saved that kid." Jiwoo thought as he looked back at the now reunited mother and son.
Jiwoo disappeared into the crowd, unnoticed. "I almost exposed my powers to the public. Still, it's good that I was able to keep the kid from being hurt."
Jiwoo walked away whistling.
For those who didn't know, Jiwoo is the original protagonist of Eleceed. Just thought I'd add that. The story will keep changing views to make sure you get all of the story, instead of just jumping in and hoping you know what is suppose to happen.
