Chapter 1 - The First Meet

I am Kang Hana. I am 31 years old, and I am married, or should I say I was married. Never mind, it was just a temporary marriage for the purpose of merger and acquisition of my father's company HK Cosmetics. It was merged with HS Cosmetics in 2019 and that is the year when I got married as well on 8th October 2019.

How coincident it was that my birthday was the day when my dad wanted me to get married, oh it is a bitter memory even though I married the man I love. It was an unrequited love.

I met Ray when I was in grade 4. I was 10 years old. My dad Kang Hansol and Ray's dad Song Hyun were college friends and were maintaining their friendship throughout the years. 

We were staying in Canada and my dad planned to return to Seoul, South Korea, and planned to open his company there. I lost my mom when I was a 6-month child. My mom was suffering from tuberculosis and eventually due to the after-effects of child delivery she died.

We shifted to Seoul. After settling and arranging everything my dad contacted his old best friend. Mr. Song invited us over to his home for dinner. 

On that day I met Song Raymond for the very first time. He was shy enough to not meet eyes with me yet greeted me with a pleasant smile. I put forth my hand and said, "Hi friend I am Kang Hana, and you?" He brought his shy little right hand forward and greeted me still looking down, "H-hi I am Raymond, Song Raymond, you can call me Ray!"

That day marked the beginning of our bond and fate. We eventually became good friends as we stayed next door and went to the same school, we were having beautiful days and life was going so smoothly until that incident......
