Person 1 POV

Its been days since that little accident. Maybe.. it wasn't an accident?

Meant to be?

Luck?

Or.... just an accident.

Days have passed, and that beautiful person has yet to fall onto me again. Should I take my same route? But this time, on foot.

If only I had my bike... then I may find you again.

I shake my thoughts away. Im coming to find you again. Heart racing and nothing but one thing on my mind. I have to see you again.

Racing out the door, I left everything behind. No keys, no bag, no food, no phone, just my heart and hope to fall into your arms again.

Taking the same route, I followed down the sidewalk.

Humans. Humans everywhere.

If only I had my bike.

This is ridiculous. What am I doing? Chasing after a fantasy? This is not going to work.

The turn is approaching. No trucks this time. No heavy traffic.

Pausing mid-step, stopping at the corner. My mind began to speak.

"Just turn around! Go home. Stop dreaming and buy a new bike already!"

Looking around at my surroundings, I finally listen to my inner thoughts.

I should just go back home. As the light turn green and the cars began driving, I turned back around to follow my tracks back home.

"Huh??"

Person 2 POV

Rushing, I anxiously grab all the change out my pockets. Will this do?

"Yes' ma'am"

Relieved. I grab it and escort it through the doors. Im not much of a wheel person, but it may get me to that checkpoint faster.

The checkpoint.

But what if she's not there? What if she forgot about our encounter? What if she has another bike and has moved on with her life?

What if?

Taking a good look outside, I realized the city was calmer than before. Less traffic, sky cloudy, not many people strolling. Interesting.

I should go now despite the change. Despite my doubts. While im at it, I should take advantage of these clear streets.

Hopping on the bike, my legs make the wheels spin. Wind blowing in my hair, that blissful feeling rushing through my body. Adrenaline kicking in and nothing is on my mind.

I grip the handle bars, tilt my head down, and squinted my eyes. A jump is approaching.

I pull the handle back and force the wheels up in the air, jumping over the chairs.

Woooooooo!

The landing wasn't perfect but the wheel were still going. I went to my usual route. Im not on foot but I still know how to have fun.

A straight shot then a turn. Only a few cars around this time. Trucks?... no trucks in sight. Trucks?

This is the turn! But this time no truck.

Moving my feet as if I am running, but then I notice....

Is that you?

I turn sharply, but the curb got the best of me.

We lock eyes in shock and embarrassment.

Then she smiled.

I had really fallen for her,

hard.

Like seriously, I ripped my favorite pair of jeans when I fell off the bike.

But it was worth it...
