Waking up from pain was not Satsuki's idea of a good day. Second, waking up at the face, well, masked-face of the guy who tried to kill her, adds to the equation.
"What have I done? That you have to ruin this day for me, a second time around?" Satsuki asked, clearly annoyed. Kakashi sighed in frustration. "I don't want to be here, as much as you want me here." He huffs with his usual lazy demeanor.
"Then please leave. Go away--old man." Satsuki instructs, pointing at the door. Kakashi scowls under his mask, did she just called him an old man? He was not an old man.
"I have orders." He says flatly, taking a seat at the window seal. "You are ruining the view, mate. Just go. I won't tell nobody. It will be our little secret." She offers, Kakashi sent her an anoyed look.
Of all the people he'd met, she was by far the most annoying one---how she just gets under his skin, parts of him wants to threw her out the window."I'll call the nurse." Kakashi spats walking out. "Don't come back!" She shouts after him in all seriousness. She just wants to be left alone, she inspects her wounds--impressed that they had healed her in such speed.
"How are you feeling?" The nice nurse asked Satsuki, "I feel like I've been attacked numerous times, beaten to a pulp, sent to a World I don't want to go to, sore like my shoulder is cut open." Satsuki deadpanned, a murderous aura filling the room. The nurse turned red, and Kakashi looked taken aback, she was feisty with or without her swords...and it was not helping her state.
"Now, tell me....a man didn't changed me, cause I'm going to hunt him down and kill him in his sleep." She adds, ominously causing the nurse to shake her head. "Are you sure?" Satsuki asked, the nurse nods vigorously.
"Good. Now where are my clothes?" Satsuki adds. "We have disposed of it, miss." The nurse says. "Are you insane! That's all I got! Damn it! You don't expect me to leave this place, parading in a hospital gown, do you? Or I swear I'll force you out of those clothes your wearing right now." Satsuki threatens. "Okay... Thats enough, you can go now. Thank you." Kakashi says, ushering the frightened nurse out and gently shutting the door after her. "Can you not, scare the people who's trying to help you?" Kakashi asked.
"Did I not?" Satsuki asked in softer tone, with a hint of surprise. "No?" Kakashi answered finding her question strange. "I sincerely thought I did, when I was unconscious. Now, all the help I need is to get the hell out of here. Back to my home, where I can have a long bath and eat everything in my refrigerator because I am starving." Satsuki says, getting off of bed.The white haired Jounin instantly stood blocking her way out of the bed. "What!?" Satsuki snapped, losing every bit of her patience. She was starving and in pain. That was a deadly combination. "You are to stay in bed to recuperate. I will get you the food you need." Kakashi instructs sternly.
She frowned up at him, and crossed her arms, "When did we have that talk?" She asked. "What talk?" He replied, lost.
"That you, are the boss of me. Now get out of my way, gramps." She commands, glaring at him. Kakashi glared back at her, annoyed with her pigheadedness, if she wasn't so full of herself, he would actually find her, somewhat attractive.
"Hatake, Kakashi." Kakashi said. "What?" She asked confused. "That's my name, not gramps, Santa or old man." Kakashi hissed, sending her his most intimidating glare. He was expecting her to cower, frown at the least, but she did neither. Instead, she cracked a grin and pointed her finger up at him, pointing at his spiky white mane. "Then why is your hair white, Kaka-baka?" She says, his one eye widened in both surprise and shock. How her lips quirked up, to one side, and how her eyes glinted with mischief, were down-right alluring to him. And a blush crept on his cheeks, and for the first time in meeting Satsuki, he was glad he wore a mask.
Then it hit him, Kaka-baka it was an offensive petname, he wanted to retort but thought otherwise. There was no point on being frustrated with that very pretty and insufferable woman. Satsuki walked back to bed and said, more like demanded "where's my food?"5days later.
After being deemed healthy enough to be discharged from the hospital, Kakashi took Satsuki back to the Hokage. "And how have you been feeling, Satsuki?" The 3rd asked the woman, who was looking bored.
"Okay, I guess. By any chance, did you figure out how to bring me back?" Satsuki said, causing the 3rd to smile, she was direct to the point as usual. "Unfortunately, No." He answered sadly, causing Satsuki to frown visibly. "I have an exam in a week, students to teach, dojo to take care of." Satsuki said. "What about your family?" Sarutobi asked, not hearing anything about anyone worrying about her. "I have a cousin, who will probably get my dojo burnt to the ground." She said dreadfully."What am I suppose to do now?" She huffed, defeated after a long hour discussion of her importance of going home immediately. "I will provide you with a place to stay, and money till you get yourself a job." The third said, "Great. Fantastic. Awesome." Satsuki said voice dripping with sarcasm.
Kakashi guided her to her apartment, while she followed with the least enthusiasm possible. After handing her the key, she slammed the door at his face.
Satsuki woke up the next day, from a knock on her door--waking up in an unfamiliar place gave her a sense of dread. Then recalling where she was and what occurred days ago caused her to frown. She wasn't home. She was somewhere she wasn't familiar with and really, it intimidated her. The knock continued, and knowing whoever this person was wasn't going to anywhere soon; she crawled out of bed and opened the front door.
Kakashi stood by her door, with dead fish eye look as per usual. As he expected she responded with a huff at the sight of him, personally he felt the same. He swore he'd rather take on an S-ranked mission than be her personal babysitter. "What?" She asked, rubbing her eyes, clearly she didn't sleep well, based on the dark circles under her eyes.
Kakashi simply gestured to a bag in his hand, Satsuki looked down and noticed said bag, it was her hiking gear, with her two katana's still wrapped in her bloodied jacket. She went to grab it all immediately, a smile on her face. She expelled a sigh of relief, when she opened it. Her whole hiking gear was there, and a chocolate bar inside. Her notes in class, a map, compass, ropes, etcetera. It somewhat gave her a sense of hope, maybe she could still go home, maybe.
"You're welcome" kakashi said sarcastically, following behind and entering her close to empty apartment. Satsuki turned to him, forgetting he was still there. "Thank you." She told him sincerely, almost catching him off guard with how soft her voice sounded. Then she turned towards her bedroom leaving him alone, completely ruining the spell he was on. He scowled taking his leave.
