Tae and Jimin were laughing about the incident that had just happened on stage. They were just awarded Artist of the Year by Actor Park Seo Joon. Jungkook was walking in front of him but wasn't paying attention after they got to the stage which gave Jimin the chance to trick the younger one. He bowed like he was greeting someone which the younger one immediately imitated only to be met by no one. He turned and glared at his hyungs who were laughing hysterically on stage. No doubt, Jungkook was going to pay them back.

Jimin was still laughing with Tae when she got up from her seat and handed her phone to the lady beside her. The sparkling black dress hugged her figure like it was a second skin. Jimin watched as she took every step with grace, slowing down when climbing up the stairs and picking up the pace when she was up on level grounds. Then, she collected the mic and smiled like she was casting a spell on everyone. She spoke in fluid Korean and despite being known as one of the black women that understood the language, it didn't take the shock away from Jimin or his brothers.

He hadn't realized he was holding Tae's hand until the latter stiffened. He visibly shifted and awarded the woman his utmost attention. They all did. Namjoon had spoken briefly about how beautiful her Korean was. Jimin leaned into Tae while savouring the moment until she smiled at the end of the speech, revealing a dimple on her right cheek. It was one of the most beautiful things he had ever seen.

"Once again, my name is Ayera Campbell." She finished and left the stage where she had just spoken on behalf of UNICEF about India and the rising pandemic numbers. The hall boomed with applause and her friend stood up, smiling and applauding Ayera. It was then or when he read her books or perhaps when he watched her TikTok videos she made for fun that Jimin knew he had a crush on her.

Before the realization set in, he had only ever been attracted to Tae. They had spent nights together when they were younger and Tae would cry his eyes out because he missed his parents. Tae would curl up into him and sob into his shoulders. Then, he would struggle during the day to follow their dance routine or even get his voice to channel the right emotions. He'd spend nights telling Jimin about how he wanted to go home to his family. But Jimin wouldn't allow it.

He'd tell him, "you can fantasize about how easy being at home would feel but you cannot give in to the false truth. You would feel horrible because you missed out on your dreams."

Jimin on the other hand had not trained long enough which meant he lacked the most. He had the urge to cry, to allow himself to get tired but he wouldn't. He was certain that there was nothing he wanted more than to be an artist. He wanted to dance through the fire, air, earth and water. He wanted the music to flow through him like the blood in his veins. He craved the fusion of the art and to one day do both without commanding his mouth to open or his body to listen. So he spent little time sleeping and more time living in the practice room.

The less time he spent sleeping, the more time Tae would join him and together they built themselves. They danced till they both knew the rhythm of their heartbeat. They fought the most about unimportant things but at the time, they just wanted more from each other. Their quarrels brought them together and today, the others know they would choose each other even in games of random name picking. Their souls were one.

Sometimes, Tae would leave his room in the middle of the night and walk towards Jimin's room, let himself in and crawl into the duvet. He'd slip into the space Jimin had kept for him and settle into their pattern. He'd tangle his legs around Jimins', wrap his arms around Jimin's small waist and press his face into his chest, sniffing the familiar lavender chamomile bubble bath scent Jimin loves. Jimin would rest his hand on Tae's hair from his slumber and massaged his scalp until they both fell asleep.

Jimin had never once thought he'd be willing to share Taehyung with anyone, not alone, a woman. It broke the dynamic of their relationship and even his understanding of himself yet he wanted her. He craved her like the seventeen-year-old Jimin craved to be more than just a one time trainee of Big Hits. And it wasn't for something as fickle as a one night stand. It was more.
