"Ugh" Jungkook groaned as he was awoken by a repetitive buzzing noise.
His eyes slowly opened, blinking a few times to clear his foggy eyes.
He squinted his eyes to see the time displayed on the digital clock by the side of his bed.

"Shit" Jungkook leaped out of bed, forcing himself out of his cozy duvet without even a second thought.
He was late.

Jungkook lived a very normal, average life. Not like the classic wattpad style, he was just an average guy, with an...average family in a decent house. It wasn't perfect but it wasn't over the top bad, well it wasn't to him anyway.

The boy flung himself across the room and out the door. He was about to rush into the bathroom but his older brother beat him to it.
"First come first served" he smirked before slamming the door shut and locking it within seconds.
"Yah! It's my first day at work!" Jungkook screamed, banging on the door.

"I don't give a fuck" he heard a scream back.
Jungkook sighed as he realised he had no time to cry. He ran back into his room and pulled his pyjamas off. He grabbed his deodorant and sprayed enough so that he was suffocated by it, because that was when he knew it was enough.

He pulled on his navy blue trousers, and a matching navy blue long sleeved shirt. Before pulling on his white jacket, which you see every doctor wear. He made sure that his hair was somewhat neat, and his face was fully cleansed with his face cream he wears every day and night.

Once he was fully fresh and smelt good, his brother was finally out of the bathroom. He rushed in, making sure he didn't slip on the wet floor and grabbed his toothbrush with toothpaste. As he brushed his teeth, he ran downstairs and placed his water bottle from the fridge into his backpack.

10 minutes later he was out of the front door. His parents had already left, as they went grocery shopping, not even wanting to say good luck to their youngest son. Not like he was expecting it, and it wasn't like he cared. He was glad he didn't have to see them as they would have only made things worse.
Jungkook shoved his earplugs in to his ears and walked *ran* to work which was a 30 minute walk away. Not convenient, especially when you're already late.

So Jungkook sprinted down the street, with the most upbeat music he had to motivate him to ran as fast as he could. He saw the hospital ahead of him and finally he reached there, with 2 minutes to spare.

He rushed to the front desk, shaking slightly as his adrenaline was at its highest.
"H-hi I'm Jeon Jungkook the new intern" Jungkook said as he was gasping for air.
"Uhm yeah, go to floor 5, down the corridor and on your left you'll be met with Dr Kim's office, he'll be your mentor for your time here" the lady instructed with a small smile on her face.
"Okay great thank you" Jungkook bowed before rushing to the elevator.

He came to the floor and rushed down the corridor to the office he was guided to. He brushed his clothes to neaten himself up before he knocked on the door.
"Come in" a low voice commanded.
Jungkook opened the door and walked in nervously.

"Hello?" the person raised his eyebrow at the man standing in front of him.
Jungkook instantly bowed and introduced himself.
"Ah you're the new intern, my name is Kim Taehyung, I'll be your mentor and if all goes well you'll be offered a job here once you complete your exams" Taehyung spoke with a professional tone, which only made Jungkook more nervous.

"Yes sir, I'll try my best and won't let you down"
"I have every little faith in you, but please don't call me sir you're only a few years younger than me, let's stick to Dr Kim for now and if we get closer we can change formalities" The doctor nodded with a very small curve on his lips.
"Yes of course" Jungkook nodded.

"Okay so today, you'll just sit with me, watch how I interact with the patients. Obviously if for some reason they don't want you in the room I'll send you out and give you another job to do. Which reminds me, only I can give you orders and remember that. As you don't know who works here yet and aren't familiar to who should give you instructions, make sure you follow my instructions only."

"I'm sure you're aware of Hofling's Hospital study" Tae then said.
Jungkook quickly nodded, "the study into obedience and the nurses followed orders from a unfamiliar doctor and were instructed to give double the amount of Astroten to patients"
"Good, looks like someone is on top of their studies" Taehyung couldn't lie, he was impressed but he didn't want to display that.

"Of course Dr Kim" Jungkook smiled.
"Okay well if you want to take a seat here, and our first appointment is in 10 minutes"
Jungkook quickly sat down and held his hands in his lap, twiddling with his fingers softly.

"So how long have you been a doctor for?" Jungkook asked which came out more like a whisper as there was an unsettling silence.
"Hm around 6 years now" Taehyung answered as he finished signing some documents.
"Wow! 6 years! You must have dedicated your whole life to being a doctor! How old are you?" Jungkook said not even realising he was rambling.

"I'm 26" The doctor laughed at the interns rambles.
"Woah, I thought you were younger"
"Are you saying that I'm old?" Taehyung questioned with a shocked look.
"Oh no no no, nothing of a sort. You're young but I thought you were younger" Jungkook awkwardly laughed.
"Well I'll take it as a compliment" he spoke with a playful tone, quickly giving a wink to the new intern before they heard the door open to see their first patient of the day.

Jungkook noticed the wink and flushed a bright red. He gave a cough and patted his cheeks to keep composure before greeting the patient alongside Taehyung who was also doing the same.
