THIRD

Malia wakes later in the night to a half naked Namjoon. He's watching TV with his glasses on. When she moves around, he pulls her closer and tightens his grip.

He doesn't realize that she's awake. He's too focused on the show that he's watching. Malia stretches in his arms and his eyes shift to her. She groans and sits up. Namjoon lets her go as she gets up to pee.

When she comes back in, she realizes that he turned her heater on and that's why he's wearing basically nothing. She stands there for a second before looking at him.

"I'm hungry." She says softly and he sits up.

"It's only 11. Where do you want to eat?"

She shrugs and he gets out of bed. He puts his shirt and hoodie on before handing her a jacket out of her closet.

"It's like than 30 degrees outside." She points out

"We're about to get in the car and you're gonna turn the heat on anyway." He defends his reasoning for handing her a jacket rather than her coat.

"Where are we going?" She still has an attitude, rightfully so.

"To eat." He says shortly and she puts her boots on.

She expected him to give her a place not a smart mouthed ass answer. They grab their keys and phones before walking out to his car.

"Drive mine. It's just been sitting there." She doesn't know if anything can happen to it from that.

She hands him her keys and he takes them. They get in her car, he adjusts her seat mumbling about her 'little ass body' and then they pull off.

Namjoon goes to a drive m-in place, pays their fee and then orders their food. The woman gives them a number and he parks in the spot to wait

"Drive-in?"

"Mhm."

"How'd you find it?"

"I was looking up places a couple weeks ago that you'd like. Your unspoken love for the 1920s and 50s is easy to accommodate."

"Minus the blatant racism." She adds and he laughs quietly.

"Yes, minus the blatant racism." He repeats and looks at her.

"They would kill us for even sitting in this parking lot." She says all of a sudden.

He sighs and shakes his head, trying not to laugh. "Why are you like this?"

She laughs at his reaction and for a moment they forget about what happened earlier in the day.

"I'm sorry, Malia."

"I know." She says.

Just because he's apologized doesn't mean that she has to forgive him right away.

"I'm serious. I apologized before just to do more bullshit. It feels like I led you on and I didn't mean to. I saw you with him and I-. I don't know. I'm just... confused."

Xavier's words pop into her head and she looks at him.

"Does it feel different?" She asks him and he licks his lips as his eyebrow quirks. She clarifies her words. "High school to college?"

He shakes his head. "No. Not at all."

"It feels different for me." She tells him as she takes her shoes off. She adjust herself to sit comfortably in her seat.
