Chapter 17: Carnivals

Rydel's Pov

I was watching Ell playing drums, since he is good at playing drums and I asked him to teach me. When we were young, we usually play here at our basement we have lots of instruments here. We even have a room where we could dance in.

Whenever I am down or feeling stress or something I would go down here and play any instruments or dance by myself. I don't really know how to play many instruments so I just play around, but I could play the keyboard though.

"Okay do you get the beat?" Ell asked. "Hm...I'll try." I said while he hands me the drum sticks. After I did the beat I looked at Ell who has a mouth wide open. I giggled. "Close your mouth wouldn't catch flies now would you?" I teased. He closed his mouth but still standing in shock.

"How-how did you do that?" He said disbelievingly. "Well I've got powers you know." I said jokingly. "No! I got powers too! Wanna know what it is?" He said playing along. "What is it then?" I said while placing my left hand at my hip. "Well I could let people fly." He said while smirking.

"Oh no. Oh no. Please tell me your not going to tickle me." I said beggingly. "Oh no. No. No. I am going to do a better one." He said smiling evily. Then I run upstairs while him chasing me. I went outside, but once I was out someone picked me up and twirled me. We were laughing the whole time I didn't know my brothers and the Maranos were watching.

Once he stoped twirling me we stared at each others eyes. Wow. I just realize that his eyes are amazing. Those hazel eyes are like they're the only ones for me to see. His face is shinning from the sun. His--

"Okay! Break it up you two!" Riker said moving us apart. While both me and Ellington blush. "I--I am just going upstairs to freshen up." I said making an excuse. "Um...ye-yeah and my mom is calling me." Ellington excused himself, too. "But your mom is not--" Rocky said but Ellington cut him off. "My mo is calling me!" Ellington repeated. Then we left.

That. Was. So. Awkward.

Ross' Pov

After that lovely show of my sister and Ell, Laura and I decided to go to the mall.

"Hey guys! Me and Laura--" I started but Laura cut me off. "Its Laura and I." I rolled my eyes. "Laura and I are going to the mall." I finished we were about to go outside but we were stoped by my brother.

"Stop." Riker said and eyed us. While we look at him wierdly.

"Can I come!" He said excitedly like a little girl who has a candy. "Fine you can." Laura said sadly. Um...okay? She has never been sad whenever my siblings come. "Can I come too?!" The others said. While Laura groaned. "Sure." Then all of us went to the van, Riker was driving, Vanessa was shot gun, Laura, me and Ryland are on the second lane, while Ellington, Rydel and Rocky are on the last.

While we were on the road, Laura was quiet lately. "Laura?" Nothing.

"Laura?" Still nothing. "Laura Marie Marano if you don't talk to me then we will not be friends anymore." I joked. "What?" She snapped at me while I raised my eyebrrow "Sorry." She apologized. "Its okay. Um...mind telling me why you're upset?" I asked. She sigh and faced me.

"Well its just that we have been hanging out alot with our siblings, and we never get to spend time with each other anymore." She sigh. "Laura I am so sorry for not noticing I'll make it up to you." I said while placing my hand on top of hers. Its normal for us to do that actually.

"No its not your fault. Its just...ugh! Nevermind." Laura said going back to facing the window. Wait...I got an idea! "Hey Riker can we go to the Carnival instead of the mall?" I asked. "Ross you don't have to--" Laura said but I cut her off. "No Laura I wanna make it up to you." I said while shushing her. "Yeah can we?" The others said hopefully. "Fine. Even though we are so close to the mall." Riker groaned which made everyone laugh even Laura!

"We're here!"

"Finally! Rydellington has been flirting the whole car ride!" Ryland exclaimed. "Hey!" They both said. "What are you talking about? I have good pics of them see." Rocky said while showing us pictures of Rydel and Ellington being sweet. While Rydel and Ellington snuck out and head for the carnival first.

Laura's Pov

Once we were in the carnival we all split up more like partner split up. I went with Ross, Vanessa went with Riker, Rydel went with Ellington and Ryland went with Rocky.

"So where do you want to go?" Ross asked. "Hm...ooh! The roller coaster!" I said knowing Ross would be scared since he is scared of roller coasters. "Okay." He said fearlessly. "Ha told you, you wouldn't be--wait what?"

"I said okay. So are we going to ride or just keep asking questions?" Ross teased. "Whatever." I said while heading to the roller coaster.

Ross' Pov

I was wrong it was still scary! "That was the best ride ever!" Laura exclaimed while punching the air. "Um...yeah that was." I said still paranoid from the ride. "Oh c'mon! Th at wasn't so bad!" Laur said. While I gave her a look. "Okay maybe it was but atleast it's done." Trying to cheer me up.

"Hey lets head back to the gang. They're probably already looking for us." Laura said checking the time at her phone.

When we found them. Alexa and Savannah were with them waiting for us. "Hey guys! The girls would have a sleep over tonight. What do you say?" Rydel said perkily. "Um...can I join you guys after I hang with Ross?" Laura asked while glancing at me then back at Rydel. "Okay!"

"Thanks Laura." I said. "Hey I if this friendship will last forever we need to make it last right?" She said. "Right."

"Hey guys can we go now? I wanna eat mac n' cheese." Rocky whinned while we all laugh at his childishness.
