Chapter 1: Meeting Some Friends

Laura's POV

"Laura, Vanessa breakfast is ready!" mommy called out from the kitchen. Yay. First day of school! I am so excited to make new friends.

I got up from my comfy bed and got ready for the fist day of school. I wore what my mommy had prepared for me.

After I finally finish changing, II went down stairs to find my family eating breakfast.

"Morning sweetheart ready for the first day of school?" Mommy asked.

"Yes mommy! I am so exited to make friends!" I said happily.

"Mom can I go with you guys to take Laura in her first day of school?" My sister vanessa asked.
"Sure. Since it is her first time to go to school. I'll tell your teacher." mom said before she go and get her phone. "Hey we should get going before Laura becomes late." Daddy said.

"Yay!"

Once we were there in-front of the school I became nervous, sweaty and some words I don't know. My sister noticed and said "Hey its okay. Don't be nervous you should be happy that you get to go to school and make friends." She said.

"I am not nervous just um....a little bit sweaty...?" I said not sure with my own answer.

"Laura you are my sister I know you" Vanessa said.

"Fine you caught me. I am just scared that my classmates might hurt me or something." Then I started crying.

"Aw Laura I will always be here for you, whenever someone will hurt you I am going to kick his or her butt! Haya!" She said while doing the karate chop in the end. I giggled.

"There's that smile." She said smiling at me causing me to smile back.

"And I promise you that in this day you will find a friend and then he or she will become your best friend!" She said while giving me a hug. I love her hugs.

"Thank you Nessy for cheering me up." I said while kissing her cheek.

"That's what sisters are for remember?" She said while hugging me again.

"Kids! We're here!" Daddy announced.

After we went out of the car, we went to an office. Once we got there we saw an old man not really old but you know, he smiled at us and said, "Hello, welcome to our school. I am Mr. Pattison, the Principal here." We all greeted him and then all the adults talk about my stay here. While they were talking, me and Nessy played quietly a bit.

"I am glad you guys chose this school, this school is the best school here in the country. The president's daughters went here last year. " he said proudly.

After meeting the principal I went to my classroom. 

I went inside and I was greeted with a teacher.

"Hi, you must be the new one." She greeted with a kind smile. "I am Ms. Amy your teacher you'll be seating with Ross."

She looked inside the classroom and said, "Ross can you raise your hand for me, please sweetheart." then a boy at my age raise his hand and smiled.

The teacher look at us again and said, "You can seat beside him-- um, what's your name sweetheart?" She must say sweetheart plenty of times.

"Laura." I said shyly. She then let me go and seat with the boy.

After saying goodbye to my family, I went to seat in his table. "Hi I'm Laura." I said shyly.

"Hi I'm Ross!" He greeted happily while I just nodded my head and faced at the floor.

I think he noticed it, "Hey don't be shy I'll be your friend if you like." Which caused me to smile widely.

"Really?! You are my first friend." He then smiled.

The whole morning we just play around and have fun together. When it was time to go home we went to the playground and waited for our patents while waiting we talked and have some fun and I said, "Promise we will be bestfriends forever?" I asked.

"I promise" he said then we pinky promise. After we promised my mom was there waiting for me in the car and I look back at Ross and said "Bye! I'll see you tomorrow!" I said

"Bye Laura!"
