i go to school, excited to see jj. i walk into my first class and see an empty chair where jj's supposed to be. hopefully he's just running late. 30 minutes go by and i assume he's not coming to school so i text him.

since you asked so

after first period was over i discreetly walked out of the building and got in my car. i was about to start it when i got a text from jj
jj <3
meet me at ur place
odd, but okay. i didn't really care because no one was home. i wondered why he wanted to meet at my house instead of his. i pulled into my driveway and saw jj sitting on my porch. i walked up to him and saw some fresh cuts and bruises on his face
"jay what happened" i said gently touching the cut on his cheek
"my dad" he said softly, looking down playing with his rings
"let's get ya inside and i'll clean these up" i reached my hand out and showed him a soft smile. he grabbed my hand and i led him upstairs to my bathroom and tapped the counter, signaling for him to sit on it. he understands and hops up onto the counter, still playing with his rings.
"i'm sorry but this is gonna sting" i said while i dipped a q-tip into some rubbing alcohol. he inhaled sharply through his teeth and shut his eyes
after i finished with the first cut and was about to move on to the others, i felt jj grab my free hand, holding onto it. i looked at him and smiled and finished cleaning up his cuts
i told him he can go to my room and i'll be back quick, i was on my way to my dads closet to get a shirt for him, one that doesn't have his blood all over it. i also grab a pair of his sweats.
i come back to my room and find jj looking at my pictures on the top of my dresser
"you look cute in this one" he says as he shows me a picture of me and my mom before we moved. i smiled at him and then gave him the clothes
he changed in front of me and to be honest, i didn't really care
"how ya feeling?" i ask him, he looks pale
"tired"
"okay, you can take a nap in my bed, want any ibuprofen or water?"
he hums in response as he flopped on top of my bed
i walk downstairs and grab 2 pills and a cup of water
as i open the door to my room i see jj laying in my bed under the covers. i walk over to him and hand him the pills. he swallows them with one sip of water
"need anything else?"
he lifts his arm up, uncovering a spot next to him the the bed
"what?"
"come cuddle with me"
i first change out of my jeans and put on some joggers. i then crawl into my bed in the spot jj had opened up for me. i'm about to fall asleep until i feel jj shuffle closer to me and put his arm around my waist. he then tucks his head into the crook of my neck. we both fall asleep there
