Pack Mentality
Sometimes Hazel wondered if other students listened in on their conversations. They couldn't exactly be blamed if they did, because the trio had a penchant for chatting when they were surrounded by others. Scott's retelling of his dream was just the latest example.
At least when Scott was having nightmares of his own, no one asked her about her dreams. She was the type of person to never remember them.
As they walked through the school doors, the werewolf finished telling his friends about a particularly vivid and intense dream in which he had killed Allison on a school bus. She would have preferred he skipped the part where it almost became a sex dream, but he felt the need to share that detail. Ignoring it, Hazel tried to tell him it was just a stupid dream, but he wasn't to be convinced. And Stiles wasn't helping.
"So you killed her?" Stiles asked, opening the door for the three of them.
He looked good this morning, in a dark green shirt. Though, he was dressed for entirely different weather than the other two. Scott and Hazel were both in t-shirts, and Stiles had a jumper and plaid shirt over his. Hazel smiled at him, conveying her thanks, as she walked in. Then she flicked his shoulder for making Scott worry. He scowled at her.
"I don't know. I just woke up," he turned to face them, walking backwards through the hall, "And I was sweating like crazy, and I couldn't breathe. I've never had a dream where I woke up like that before."
"Really? I have. Usually ends a little differently," Stiles joked.
Hazel rolled her eyes, glaring at the floor. It made her sick to think about who Stiles might be having those dreams about. Not to mention, she had now heard about the sex dreams of both of her friends in one morning, which was a nightmare. How would they feel if she started talking about hers?
She looked up to see Stiles giving her a look as though he had expected her to laugh. As they rounded a corner, he turned away with a frown.
Scott ignored them both, "A, I meant I've never had a dream that felt that real, and B, never give me that much detail about you in bed again."
"Noted. Let me take a guess here-"
"No, I know," Scott cut in, "You think it has something to do with me going out with Allison tomorrow, like I'm gonna lose control and rip her throat out."
"No, of course not!" Stiles defended. Both his friends gave him a disbelieving look, "Yeah, that's totally it. Hey, come on, it's gonna be fine, all right?"
"Personally, I think you're handling this pretty damn amazingly," Hazel said, "You know, it's not like there's a lycanthropy for beginners class you can take."
