Chapter 3 - When the glass breaks

It was summer and you and (C/N) became best friends. You heard me. BEST FRIENDS. Although you didn't confess your feelings to him. So you still have a chance right?

You found out that (C/N) was insane. He laughs at certain things that shouldn't be laughed at like a corpse of a cat that both of you found on the school's parking lot. He'd share secrets with you for example he once told you that he killed a person, not once, not twice, but thrice.

Of course he trusts you with his secrets and you trusted him so you kept it and never told anyone.

Just to impress him you went far beyond than insane just like him. He said he liked it that way.

As usual school was over and you couldn't stop thinking about (C/N). You even asked yourself why you didn't tell him your feelings when you had the chance. Nervous to be in the friendzone I guess?

This summer your hallucinations got intense, this includes you seeing crimson blood on the sink, seeing bloody organs when you open the freezer and lots more. You told all of them to your mom and she was surprised.

You were sitting on the couch with your mom watching the news, until a report came up that caught your attention.

"A recent report that was recorded about a boy named (C/N) (C/L) escaped an Insane Asylum. He has been known for murdering people in the middle of the night. If you see this boy please report to us immediately... "

Your jaw dropped during the report. You couldn't beleive this. Sure it makes sense that (C/N) is on an insane asylum but how did he escape?

Floods of questions hit your mind like a typhoon until reality smacked you in the face. "(Y/N) are you okay?" Your mother asked as she waved her hand in front of you. "Yeah I'm fine mom. I'll just get to my room now."

You stood up and went to your room. This time you able to sleep and you were surprised the next morning you woke up.

You went downstairs only to find your mom dressed up and ready to go somewhere. She told you take a shower and get dressed up and so you did.

When you got in the car the drive was mostly silent. When you got to your destination you were surprised it was a hospital of some kind. Once you got inside you never knew your mom actually signed you up for therapy.

The next thing you know is that you were in a room with 2 chairs and a table. The only door in the room opened revealing a woman with a clipboard on her hand.

"Hi, my name is doctor Hailey, your name is (Y/N). Correct?" You nodded. "So... Your mother said that you've been hallucinating quite frequently. Is that true?" She asked. "Y-Yes.." You mumbled. "What do you think causes your hallucinations?" She asked tilting her head. "L-lack of sleep." You said with a deep chuckle at the end. "Ah, I see." She started writing down stuff on her clipboard.

"Your mom also said that she thinks your going insane. She said that you laugh at things that seen invisible. Why do you laugh?" You started to feel uneasy. "M-mainly because... Most if my hallucinations include blood and violence so for some reason I laugh at that."

"Okay, I understand. Do you go insane because it's just like that? Or is it to impress someone?" She raised an eyebrow. Your uneasiness started to rise up and you started to swear. "T-to impress someone..." NOW YOU REGRET SAYING THAT. "And what's the name of this person?" Oh no.. I can't say his name he was just mentioned on the news yesterday...

"It's best if I don't say it."

"It's alright you can tell me."

"N-no.. I-I can't I-I'm sorry..."

"Why is there something wrong?"

You nodded your head. You can't take this anymore. You noticed a scalpel at the end of the table just laying there. "What's wrong with-" Before doctor Hailey finished her sentence you slashed her neck with the scalpel

Blood stained on your (F/C) hoodie and it stained your hand. You droped your scalpel on the floor realizing what you did and started to run out the room. People looked at you and your bloodstains. You ran out as quick as you can, they were gonna call the cops for sure.

Before you could leave the main door you saw your mom at one of the seats at the sides. She looked at you horrified by your appearance. You looked at her back with guiltiness in your eyes.

You ran out the door hearing your own mother screaming your name. You ran to the woods as quick as you can. You kinda liked the feeling of killing actually.

It was 6 PM and the sun was setting and you were lost at the endless woods.

You knew you'll never be looked at the same way again.
