During the evening, the Royal family was happily enjoying their dinner everyone that is, except for Kion. His Mother Nala frowned in concern.
"Kion?" she asked. "Are you feeling sick? You haven't even taken a bite of Zebra yet."
"I'm fine Mom." Said Kion. "I'm....I'm just not hungry tonight."
Kiara looked in confusion. Usually Kion was finishing off by now.
"Kion... umm... do you mind if I... ate your share if you're not going too?"
"Of course you can" smiled Nala. "Better than to waste it anyway."
Simba about ¾ of the way through his share of the Zebra now looked at his family. Nala had resumed eating her share, Kiara was eating Kion's share but he frowned in deep concern and worry at Kion.
"Kion?" he addressed. "Do you what to talk about what's bothering you tonight? Did something happen during patrol?"
"N..no Dad... p...patrol was fine." replied Kion stammering a little.
Simba now looked at him in concern. "Kion." he said..."Is there something that you're not telling us?"
He saw Kion step back with eyes wide.
"Kion?" he asked.
Nala and Kiara now stared at Kion in shock.
Kion was staring where Simba was but in his place was none other than Scar himself.
"Sorry to interrupt your evening meal Kion". He smirked. "But it wasn't really my thing around your age." Kion stood in shock at him...he swore he heard his name but it was faint and sounded far away.
Scar wasn't done yet. "Oh and Kion"... he addressed. "I look forward to our next meeting." And he disappeared smirking.
Kion just stood there in shock, and confusion. He then finally heard his name.
"Kion!"
His vision returned and he suddenly saw his family staring at him with scared and worried looks on their faces.
"Kion?" Asked Nala. "What happened?" Kion suddenly yelled: "I can't tell you! Please leave me alone!" and run down Pride Rock crying.
"Kion!" shouted Kiara. "We were just trying to help!"
Nala looked at Kiara. "I think it's best if you went inside Pride Rock and slept Kiara. It's getting late. She was right, as the sun was beginning to set. Kiara went inside with Nala following.
Simba stared at the direction Kion went. He decided to go fetch Rafiki. "Rafiki will probably know what to do.." he thought as he ran towards Rafiki's tree.
He unknowingly passed Fuli who decided to go find and comfort Kion.
Unbeknownst to all of them, Scar had witnessed the entire thing and smirked in triumph.
