Kion moaned and started to hear voices:
"He'll be fine..."
"But Rafiki!"
"Sh Sh Nala it's gonna be fine."
"Is it Simba?" Nala cried sobbing into Simba mane which he was used to.
"Once he wakes up, we'll tell him." soothed Rafiki.

Kion slowly opened his eyes half surprised it wasn't burning anymore.
"Wh...what happened?" He asked.
"KION!" his family hugged him in joy.
"My boy... " smiled Rafiki. "Your Grand Uncle Scar can't hurt or do anything to you now physically or mentally...he's been defeated."
"For good" put in Simba.
Kion gasped. "I...I won." He realized.
Rafiki added "All that remains of your Scar is a faded line. It won't be easily seen unless someone is looking in the right spot." Kion nodded as Rafiki walked away, relieved that his war with Scar was over.

Kiara and The Lion Guard came and went.
Kiara left to go play with her friends Tifu and Zuri and Banga went back to his uncles Timon and Pumba.
Anga resumed her flying, Ono flew back to his flock, and Bashete headed back to his hippo pod. Simba and Nala looked at each other and nuzzled which made Kion cringe a bit as he didn't really like seeing them do it in front of him. Nala gave Kion one last nuzzle and than left to go hunting. Simba smiled and nodded at Kion before resuming his evening patrol.

Only Fuli and Kion were left.
Kion noticed Fuli looking down at her paws before looking at him.
"If...you want me to leave Kion..." she said "I'll be going than."
"No Fuli wait!" cried Kion surprising Fuli.
She turned and looked at him. "Yeah Kion?" she asked looking confused.
"Well....err, Fuli...is it true that you umm talked to a King of the Past?" Kion asked.
Fuli looked a little shocked than slowly nodded. "I....ummm.."
"Fuli, I'm not gonna tell.... I mean what kind of friend would do that?" smiled Kion.
Fuli gave a little giggle. "Thanks Kion." She replied sighing in relief. Than she perked up.
"Say Kion, if it's ok with your family, could you ummm meet me tonight on the hill I showed you months ago?"
Kion remembered the hill and he was a little surprised but decided to brush it off.
"Umm sure Fuli any time in particular? " he asked.
"Just before the sun sets...I understand if you can't make it" Fuli added.
"I'll try and be there Fuli." Kion smiled.
Fuli smiled back at him than walked off.
Little did they know that they felt the same thing.

"What is this feeling?" asked Kion to himself.
"Could I be in..."
He decided to brush it off and get a little sleep before the evening.

Meanwhile Fuli was wondering the same thing but a little deeper.
"Are we meant to be one? I mean...it'll be weird for a Lion and Cheetah to be.....well together. Would his parents mind? Would the Pride Lands mind... what would my friends think?"
"What would Kion think?"
She then decided to brush them off her mind for now and go hunting.

What she didn't know was that Rafiki had heard her and he smiled.
"Well Mufasa, you do have some strange ideas don't you?"
A gust of wind played with him with Rafiki replying:
"Ok! Ok Mufasa! I believe you!"
And he went to his tree laughing...the wind mysteriously satisfied.
