Lately, nothing seems to be going well for me. Even spoke to my parents and brought up the idea of me moving back home. Although Mr.Lockwood gave me a raise, it still isn't enough for my rent or any of my bills. My second job fell through too. It's being torn down to become another condo. Something I can't afford.

Sitting at my desk, I secretly scrolled looking for a job. At this point, being so desperate for anything that can pay my bills, I would do anything. Mr.Lockwood started to notice that I would come in early and stay late almost every day, even on weekends. He told me that he likes my enthusiasm, but I can't be in the office for more than 40 hours a week.

On my break I decided to go to the cafe downstairs, they have Poppy's favorite quiche, so I can buy her something for lunch. It's also an attempt for her to talk to me and apologize to her again. Getting into the studio, I found Poppy sitting at her dressing table staring down at her phone. "Hi, Poppy. I bought you lunch."

She doesn't look at me. Pretends that I am not even there. I gulped. "I just wanted to say that I'm sorry again for last night. I hope you can forgive me."

Looking at the quiche, she turns to me. "I don't eat carbs or dairy." Poppy then tosses it in the garbage.

"Oh. Well. Would you like to go for lunch?" I bit my lip.

"I ate already."

"O-okay. Maybe-"

"Brandy I'm busy." She tells me. Standing up she grabs her bag, walking past me.

"...bye," I say softly.

Now I feel empty. I'm practically losing my house and my best friend. I don't know what else to do. I don't know what I did to deserve this. Getting back to my desk, I continued my job search. Most of it required experience for 5 or more years. Something I don't have. "I really should have picked a different career."

"Ms.Diamond." Looking up, Mr.Lockwood stands over my desk. He doesn't look too happy.

I stand up. "Good afternoon Mr.Lockwood. How-how was your meeting?"

"Fine. Come with me to my office. I have to talk to you."

I nod slightly. This can't be good. With how things are going for me, he's going to fire me again. My knees shook as I walked into his office following behind him. "Close the door and have a seat."

As I shut the door, I froze for a minute. Mentally preparing myself to hear the most devasting news I can get today. "Please let me get a giant promotion with a raise." I prayed under my breath.

Sitting at his desk, Mr.Lockwood waits for me to sit down. "Do you have a boyfriend?"

I nearly fell out of my seat. My mouth opened in shock. "...w-what? Um...boy-boyfriend?" Barely getting any words out, my heart started to race. My stomach felt sick. Is he allowed to ask me that? Somehow, I feel embarrassed that I'm not dating anyone, not that any are interested in me. "No."

Slowly he gets up from his chair, he slowly walks over to me. Leaning in closer, he places one hand on the armrest, and the other he lifts my chin with his finger. Our faces only a few inches apart, he stares down at my lips before looking into my eyes. "Good. Friday night you're going on a date with me. I don't care what plans you have, cancel them. I like you in red, so wear it." He speaks so confidently. "Don't give me that look. You have no idea what it makes me want to do to you." He glances down as if he's checking me out.

He's not asking, he's telling. "Yes, Mr.Lockwood."

"You're very obedient...I like that."
