"Where the fuck are we?" Deadpool demanded, his voice soft and muffled behind his mask.

"No clue." Bucky responded as they cornered another wall. He pressed his back tightly against the cement as they snuck forward. His heart was thundering, at the impending doom, Joanna's well-being. The air felt electric and his mind was pulsing, but not painfully, more like a thrum.

It felt familiar, like it was by someone he knew.

"She is here." He murmured, amazed by the words that left his lips, but they felt right. He could feel her?

The tracker Jack provided was only useful till they reached the grounds, but Bucky knew he wasn't wrong.

"How the hell do you know that?" Deadpool was quick to demand. Bucky chewed the inside of his lips as his brows furrowed, he didn't know how to explain, but he was sure.

"I don't know, but I can feel her." He mused, the thrumming grew louder the further he travelled down the corridor.

"Feel her? You are not going to jack yourself off right now, are you?" The ex- mercenary demanded in with obvious distaste in his voice.

Bucky resisted the urge to sigh loudly, since he heard brash, loud voices from within the room to their left. He wondered why he was stuck with a bumbling moron who couldn't filter his thoughts. He switched off the safety in his weapon and narrowed his eyes on the entrance.

"Let's go."

Pain was something Joanna was familiar to. Growing up with Hydra and being trained mercilessly day after day, in tasks both mentally and physically tasking can do that to a person. Her time in Hydra had changed her, evolved her to a killing machine, to a woman she couldn't recognise in the mirror at times. But somehow Joanna knew she had held on to that little piece of good inside her, the light that was almost snuffed out.

She was a fighter and she refused to let a quack doctor electrocuting her, break her spirit.

Even if it hurt like a bitch.

"Feeling a little more corporative?" She heard the scientists voice over the agonizing, fiery sensation that was running through her body and sparking painfully through her mind.
