Bai Yao looked out through the window from the 3rd floor. She has seen everything going on between Su Ying and Wei Liang's interaction. As she looked at Su Ying's figure intently, she thought back to the time when she first met Su Ying.
She had just had a miscarriage recently and lost her baby. Su He also didn't know anything as he was abroad for a project. Filled with grief, she decided to go outside and take a walk at night alone in the park to get some fresh air.
The more she thought of her loss, the more her tears silently slid across her cheeks. It was as if heaven decided to cry along with her. It started raining little by little.
It was then that she heard a small cry. The cry of a baby's voice.
Walking towards where the sound was, Bai Yao stopped in front of a trashcan. Inside the trashcan was a newborn baby crying non-stop while trembling in the cold rain without clothes.
Slowly and gently picking up the baby into her arms, Bai Yao's tears had already stopped as she look at the baby who had suddenly stopped crying too. Hurriedly, Bai Yao ran back home with the baby. Luckily, the park was near her house and it didn't take long for her to get inside all drenched.
The baby was still trembling and Bai Yao didn't know what to do. She could only ready some warm water and bathe the baby. After finishing that, she took out some baby clothes that were originally meant for her dead baby and clothed the baby.
Now, the baby had already stopped trembling and was sleeping comfortably in her warm clothes on the soft bed.
Bai Yao took a quick shower and dried her hair. When she was done, she sat down at the bedside and gently caressed the baby's soft white cheeks. "Su Ying."
Bai Yao's eyes reddened but she hold back her tears. "From now on, your name will be Su Ying."

Su Ying felt somebody's eyes on her. She looked up at the building across the street and found a figure looking at her through the glass on the third floor. It was Bai Yao.
Upon being found out, Bai Yao quickly walks away from the window and Su Ying no longer sees the figure anymore.
When Bai Yao returned to the room where Su He and the Yan couple was at, she went to sit right next to Su He.
Yan mother was excited as she told Bai Yao her plan. "When Yingying is of marriageable age, the wedding should be held at my husband's private island. It'll be extravagant, with a big wedding cake, thousands of flowers scattered, and-
"Mrs. Yan." Bai Yao coldly interrupts. "When did I say that I am marrying my daughter to your son?"
"What?" Yan mother looked at Bai Yao in astonishment.
Su He narrowed his eyes at Bai Yao. "What are you saying?"
Bai Yao ignored Su He as she continued. "Su He and I will divorce soon. Su Ying will be under me."
Su He gritted his teeth as he grabbed Bai Yao's wrist. "Are you crazy?!"
Bai Yao grinned and slapped his hand away. "Me announcing this right now is clearly giving you face." She turned towards the wide eyes Yan couple. "Then I shall take my leave. Take care."
Su He stood up from his seat and roared, "Bai Yao! Don't think that you've won! In the end, Su Ying has the choice to choose."
Even so, Bai Yao didn't look back.
Later on that day, Su Ying got home and immediately lay down on her bed with tiredness. 'It finally started. The start of the original Su Ying's downfall.'
In the novel, the original Su Ying never knew that the divorce was Bai Yao's way to protect her from Su He. She chose Su He as he promised her that as long as she goes with him, he'll allow her to be with Yu Chen and cancel the engagement with the Yan family. It was intense at the court, but, Bai Yao still lost because of the original Su Ying's decision.
Without the protection of Bai Yao, the original Su Ying was sexually harrassed by Su He and constantly forced by him. Her life only went downhill from then on.
This was also a reason why Su Ying decided to not go back to her real family, the Xue's. She wanted to destroy Su He. The only way to destroy him is to take away his most precious possession that he holds even more dear than his life.
His company.
To do that, she must stay as a member of the Su Familly.
While Su Ying was thinking up all the plans inside her head, she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her head. It was to the extent that it made her eyes blurred and she wanted to crouch down.
Su Ying gritted her teeth in pain as she called out, "...System!"
But, there was no reply.
At this time, Su Ying was breathing heavily. Sweats roll down her forehead as she was out of breath.
After a few struggle, Su Ying finally fell unconscious.
When Ying woke up, she was already in an unfamiliar bright place. Everywhere around her was an endless amount of whiteness.

The girl suddenly turned her back towards Ying and jumped down into the endless abyss that leads one to the mortal realm.
"Oi!"
Ying went closer towards the edge and look down. The girl had already long disappeared.
"What are you doing trespassing the forbidden gates?!"
Ying looked back and saw a few guards in golden armour coming closer and closer.
She took a deep breath and silently cursed inside. Without hesitation, Ying also jumped down into the deep abyss.
'Fuck fuck fuck fuck! It hurts!!!'
That was the last thought before Ying fell unconscious.

I'm finally done with Arc 1! Whew, that took me way longer than I thought. Can't blame me though. I'm so busy that I don't even have time to read novles. Much less write them.
