The Autumn Witch || Rise of the Guardian

New Guardian

I was swinging around the clouds in Paris when I saw the northern lights streaking across the sky.
"Oh great" I sighed "today is not the day to save the world again"
And I spun in the wind and pushed myself to the Poles

"Hey North" I greeted as I landed on the balcony of the man's workshop
"Ah, Autumn" he smiled and opened his arms for a hug, which I granted
"What's going on North?" I asked
"Come. I explain" he led me out

"Cookies? Eggnog? Anyone?" North asked
I smiled and lifted a cookie, and settled into my normal cushioned chair
"This better be good, North" bunny said arriving
"Sandy, thank you for coming" north greeted the sandman
"I know, I know. But I obviously wouldn't have called you all here unless it was serious" north said to Sandys questions
I popped the last part of my cookie in my mouth as Tooth shushed her fairies
"The Boogeyman was here! At the Pole!" North said
"Pitch?" I gasped
"Pitch Black? Here?" Tooth asked

"Yes. There was black sand covering the Globe." North explained
"W-w-what do you mean, black sand?" Bunny stuttered
"And then a shadow!" North continued
"Hold on, hold on. I thought you said you saw Pitch" bunny questioned
"Well, uh, not exactly" north awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck
"'Not exactly'? Can you believe this guy?" Bunny looked at Sandy who made a question mark and shrugged
"Yeah. You said it, Sandy" I laughed
"Look, he's up to something very bad" north looked towards me "I feel it. In my belly" he grabbed his belly making me chuckle
"Hang on, hang on. You mean to say you summoned me here three days before Easter because of your belly? Mate if I did this to you three days before Christmas..." Bunny asked annoyed
"Please, Bunny. Easter is not Christmas" north stopped the rabbit
"Here we go. North, i don't have time for this! I've still got two million eggs to finish up!" bunny laughed scornfully before he hopped after the jolly man

I chuckled at Sandy as an elf drank his eggnog. I saw him begin to point at the arriving moon
"Manny" I said softly

"No matter how much you paint, is still egg" north retaliated
"Look, mate, I'm dealing with perishables. Right? You've got all year to prepare!" bunny grabbed his egg back still not seeing Sandy pointing

"Why are rabbits always so nervous?" North hit Bunny's hand nearly making the egg fall
I chuckled as Sandy tried to whistle
"And why are you always such a blowhard?" Bunny asked back while Sandy jumped back and forth making a flag.
I was sitting in my seat giggling to myself, watching the scene unfold.

"Tooth! Can't you see we're trying to argue?" North asked the fairy as she flew between the two distracted by her responsibilities
"Sorry. Not all of us get to work one night a year. Am I right Sandy?" she replied sarcastically. Sandy smiled and made an arrow pointing upwards
"San Diego, sector 2" tooth gasped going back to ordering her fairies and poor Sandy deflated
"Come on, mate. Pitch went out with the Dark Ages. We made sure of it" bunny told North
"I know it was him. We have serious situation" north claimed
"We'll, I've got a serious situation with some eggs" bunny said

Sandy grabbed the elf and shook him harshly, making the elf's bell ring making a loud noise and everyone looked at him
He dropped the elf, made a moon shape and pointed to the sky

"Ah! Man in Moon! Sandy, why didn't you say something?" North exclaimed happily
I chuckled as steam sand came from Sandys ears
"I saw" I smiled at the angry little man and he huffed knowing I could've helped

"It's been a long time old friend. What is big news?" North greeted
A blue moon ray shown in and lit up the five pointed star on the ground, each point had a small figure of each Guardian.

I gasped and stepped forward from my seat as a shadow of Pitch was created. North was right
"It is Pitch" I whispered
North patted his belly before he looked up at Manny
"Manny, what must we do?" He asked
The beam moved to the centre circle and the ground opened up as the powerful blue crystal rose up with the light shining
