"You sure you don't want to stay and have a movie marathon?" Jess asked as she pulled her into the hallway. "I know the guys can be overbearing at times but they mean well."
"I know they do but I really have to study for that English Lit and math finals coming up and I haven't even started on my final for my Coding class or my art final," Amy shook her head. "I really appreciate it though. I'm okay, like seriously I have been joking in there but I really do feel like I was getting the spoiled girlfriend treatment."
"Ok," Jessica smiled softly. "Let's get dressed in my spare clothes here and I'll go with you. Nathan does have a point you shouldn't be alone in case he bonds out before court."
"I'll be fine," She shook her head, "you spend time with your brothers. I will call you if anything strange happens, I promise."
"Ok," Jess nodded, "I'll try and explain it to the guys but I don't think they will listen so be prepared for them to try and put their foot down or try and go with you or something."
"I'll be fine by myself, I seriously doubt he will get out today," Amy shook her head. "I'm going to go grab some of your clothes, if that's okay?"
"Sure," Jess said sadly as Amy walked down to the room they woke up in.
"Where's Amy?" Kota asked noticing it was just Jess walking back in.
Jess bit her lip, "Please don't get mad and just listen first."
"What?" Kota asked as everyone stopped what they were doing to listen.
"Amy wants go to back to her place and get some studying done," Jess said nervously. "By herself."
"No," Kota said standing up. "Absolutely not."
"I tried telling her you wouldn't like it but she does have a point to you guys," Jess sighed, "She has a ton of finals coming up that she needs to study for."
"Okay then she can get her stuff and study here," Silas said trying to come up with a compromise. "She can be in the study or library and we will leave her alone while she studies."
"And what about my art final project?" Amy asked as she came into the living room. "All my things I need are at my apartment, I need to go home."
"I actually have an art studio here," Gabe said shrugging, "I have plenty of canvases and paint and anything you could ever fucking need."
"I won't use your stuff," Amy shook her head. "I need and want to go home. Thanks for last night but I really need to get back to my life."
"Fine then one or two of us are coming with you," Nathan said standing. "I meant it when I said I wasn't comfortable with you being alone while he hasn't been convicted yet."
"And like I told Jess," Amy said putting her hands on her hips, "I have a phone, I will be fine."
"Then can I suggest a different compromise if you wont bring your things here?" Silas asked and she rolled her eyes.
"What?" Amy asked irritated.
"Will you text Jess or us every hour to let us know you are okay?" Silas asked.
Amy shook her head, "No I wont because I tend to lose track of time while I study and I wont promise something I am very capable of not adhering to."
"Thank you for being honest," Owen said. "What can we do to get you to stay here with Jess and us? I know you are probably still feeling pretty crummy but I also understand you need to study. We would really like for you to stay here so we can keep an eye on you getting better and we also want to keep an eye on you while your ex is being charged and convicted. We have plenty of space for you to study and we will leave you alone while you do so. We just want to make sure both of you girls are safe."
"Amy," Jessica said softly. "Please just for one night?"
"I can't Jess," Amy shook her head. "You know why."
Jess laughed, "Oh girl, they will not care about that one bit."
"What?" Luke asked.
"Nothing," Amy said quickly and sternly.
"Fine," Jessica sighed, "Nothing, don't worry about it Luke."
"But," Luke pouted and Kota shook his head.
"We can't push Luke, we have to respect her wishes."
"Can you please just occasionally text Jess then?" Axel asked.
"Fine," Amy nodded then grabbed her car keys. "I'll see you Sis."
"See you," Jess said as she hugged Amy. "I promise they won't care one bit."
"I won't risk getting hurt again," Amy shook her head as she pulled away. "I won't and don't you say anything either, you promised."
"Okay," Jess nodded. "I won't but I think it's wrong for you not to let them know."
"That's just something I will have to live with I guess," Amy shrugged and left.
"What the hell are you two fucking talking about?" Gabe asked and Jess plopped back down on the couch while rolling her eyes.
"You just heard me say I promised I wouldn't say anything so why even ask Gabe?" Jess asked.
"She got you there," Luke chuckled.
