October was here. Autumn was coming, leaves were falling and kids were running. The time in which you carve pumpkins was right now; and of course people were starting to do it.

I like autumn, it's a great season.

This autumn gives me the feeling that's going to be different. Something, I don't know what, is going to happen; And it's going to change my life forever.

But who knows what?

I grabbed my book from my table and my phone from my bed. I made my way downstairs, and found my mom,

"Bye mom." I kissed her cheek

"Where are you going?" She asked

"I'm going to uncle Harry's coffee shop." I smiled and opened the front door

"Be careful." she stated

"Yeah mom, love you." I closed the door and looked at both sides of my house.

I walked through the orangish streets getting every second closer to the coffee shop. Every monday, wednesday, friday and saturday I have accustomed on coming to my uncle's coffee shop to read a book. Sometimes I come on sundays but not every sunday. It just isn't on my plan.

I opened the door making the little bell ring and I smiled to myself as I felt the smell of coffee mixed with the air conditioning.

"Hi, uncle Harry." I greeted from the door

"Hi, niece." He smiled as he served some coffee on a cup

"The usual?" He asked

"You know me so well," I giggled "but, I want something new, ya know."

"Maybe the october special?" He furrowed an eyebrow

"Yup." I nodded my head and sat on a table close.

I opened my book on the marked page and suddenly felt like looking up. I saw a cute boy sitting a couple tables away from mine. He had a black quiff and beautiful brown eyes.

He was reading a book,

I think it was a John Green book, maybe he also likes him. I love John Green.

"Here, your coffee." Carmen put the coffee on my table

"Thanks," I smiled

"Your welcome." she said

"Carmen," I called

"Yes?"

"Who is that guy over there?" I pointed

"He has been coming lately, yet, I don't really know his name."

"He looks interesting.." I blushed

"Why don't you talk to him, Chris? You haven't been in a relationship since.. well never." she stated

"To be honest, I'm not into relationships that much." I frowned

"Yeah, but just try." she gave me a reassuring smile and left.

I kept on reading my book but eventually I would look up at him. He was never staring back and it made me feel.. bad.

"6:23 pm."

I needed to head back home by now. I picked up the empty cup and left them on the counter where uncle Harry was standing.

"Hey, uncle, do you know who that guy is?" I pointed

He followed my finger until his eyes landed on the guy, "Well, I do not know his name, but I do know that him and his family moved from Mississipi to here two weeks ago."

"Wow, interesting." I smiled

"Wait, I know his last name is Thompson." He said in a victorious tone

"Well, thanks for helping uncle, but I have to go home. See ya." I hugged him

"Bye, niece."

I left the coffee shop, and walked back home with a smile on my face.

That guy..

He gives me chills, he does something to me that I can not explain. I feel butterflies, and I feel like I am about to puke. My stomach make flips, and that's pretty awkward because I just met him. Wait, I don't even know his name. Scratch that. I just SAW him, and I might fall for someone I just saw? That's kind of stupid to tell.

"Chris, are you okay?" I heard my brother asked

"What? Oh, yeah. I'm perfectly fine." I fake smiled

"Okay..?" He said but it sounded more like a question

I shook my head laughing at my 13 year old brother. This little boy is my everything, I don't what would I do without him.

"Chris, mom's calling you." my brother said and left

I walked downstairs and saw her cooking dinner. I helped her with the table and then I helped her putting the plates of food on the table and the other plates for everyone to serve themselves.

"Elliot, dinner's ready!"

I hugged my brother and sat in front of me, mom sat on an edge and we served ourselves. Suddenly, the door opened,

"Didn't you wait for me?"
