So, hello, it's been awhile. I was thinking of making this all in a 3rd person point of view but I decided against it since it wouldn't match with the other chapters I've written so far. I might go back and edit this later once I'm done with this book but I'm not sure yet. Without further ado, here's your late Christmas present.

Karma's POV:

I was currently sitting down on my sofa, enjoying the rest of my night by playing web games on my laptop when...

<ring...ring>

'Hm? Who could be calling at the hour?' I thought to myself, reaching over to grab my phone. I looked at the screen, it showed a number I didn't recognise.

"Hmm, it could either be two things. Someone from work that I never bothered to save their number or a scammer." I said out loud to myself.

Might as well take my chances, even if it is a scammer, I could at least have fun messing with them for a bit. And so, I hit the accept button.

"Excuse me, is this Akabane-san?" A monotone voice that I could recognise spoke. Ah, it was my boss.

"Yes, this is, what can I do for you boss?" A raise perhaps? Or maybe even a promotion? Ahh, I'm getting too ahead of myself...

"Well, our company will be attending a party and there will be many opportunities for possible partnerships there. I would like for you to go as well, I'm sure you would aid us greatly. What do you say?" He explained. Welp, not like I had anything better to do.

"Yes, of course I'll go boss." I responded

"Good, I'll send you the details via email. Make sure to read through them thoroughly, have a goodnight Akabane-san."

"You too, boss." I replied.

A few minutes later, I got a notification from my emails.

Business Party

Hello, Akabane-san. I would like to inform you about the business party that I have inquired about in our most recent phone call.

.

Several large companies will be attending the party, including... and XXX Corps.
The party will be held on 17 July 2016 at 4:45 p.m. If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Wait a second... isn't that the company that Asano leads? Fufu~ seems like this'll be more fun than I thought.

Gakushuu's POV:

I arrived at the venue of the party quite early, seeing as there were not many people there. I sat down at one of the chairs in the lobby and pulled out my laptop.

'There are quite a few emails I've yet to reply to, might as well get to them now' I thought, sighing as I placed my fingers on the keyboard.

About half an hour later, I saw more people arriving. 'I should probably keep my laptop now' I thought, saving my draft email and closing the laptop, sliding it into my laptop bag.

I get up, wanting to go and greet some of the people that arrived when...

Oh god, that's not who I think it is right?

Nope, it definitely is... I could recognise that face from a mile away.

It was the man himself, Karma Akabane.

This is gonna be a long isn't it day isn't it...

Karma's POV:

'There he is!' I speed-walked over to him, giving pleasant smiles to anyone who I happened to walk past. Still had to keep up appearances after all!

"Hey~ Did ya miss me?" I teased once I got close enough to him, "You should see the look on your face! Weren't expecting me to turn up were you?"

I took a look at him, he was wearing a simple grey button up with a black suit overtop it, as well as a pair of white dress pants and brown leather shoes.

"Oh god... why did you have to be here?" I heard him whisper to himself, his face showing pure frustration.

"Well... I do work at one of the companies attending this, plus I'm pretty high up in the rankings there. It would be even more weird if I didn't show up!"

As I got another look at him, I thought to myself, 'Damn, if I wasn't straight, I'd totally be all over him...'
