Kaelyn's POV

After we got our shoes, we went to our lanes and put them on. We had to get two lanes so it was Calum, Mali, Luke and I on one and Michael,  Shelby, Lauren, Harry, and Ashton on the other.

"You are going to lose Michael." Calum said to Michael. "No, you are Calum." He replied.

"Let's just play now, okay guys??" Luke said, stopping them before it got worse.

We started our game and about halfway through, Calum, Mali, Luke, and I were winning by a few points.

We played two games total before Luke, Shelby, and I walked back to my house while Anne, Joy, and Karen had picked up the others.

*A few weeks later*

It was Ashton's birthday today, and we were all over at his house. In the past few weeks, we have all gotten closer to him. The boys were playing at Annandale in about two weeks and they had been practicing like crazy. Tyler had left us alone- but had spread a few rumors around school. They were all the same thing- Shelby and I were just friends with the boys to hide the fact that we are um- yeah. Anyways- we just ignored him and continued to be our normal (crazy) selves.

"Kaelyn, Liz and Luke are here!!" My mum called out. "Okay- I'll be right there!!" I replied. I grabbed my phone from the charger and grabbed Ashton's present. We were all going to his house for the day since it was Saturday.

I walked out to the living room, where Luke was waiting while our mums talked. "Hey Luke." I said, hugging him. "Hi Kaelyn." He replied, hugging back.
"Mum, we are going to go get Shelby." Luke told Liz before going to the door. She nodded and I followed him outside. We walked over to Shelby's and knocked on the door.

"Hey Kaelyn and Luke!!" She said, hugging us. "Bye mum!!"

"Hey Shelby." Luke and I said. We walked back over to my house where Liz was now walking out of. We got in her car and she drove to Ashton's house.

"Bye Liz,  thanks for the ride!!" Shelby and I said as her, Luke, and I got out of Liz's car. "You're welcome girls, see you later!!"

We waved one last time before knocking on his door. "Hey guys!! Come in." He said, opening the door for us.

"Happy birthday!!" We said and Shelby and I hugged him. "Thanks guys!!" He brought us into the living room, where Michael, Calum, Lauren, Anne, and Harry were.

We all talked for a bit before Anne left to get pizza.

"What do you want to do guys??" Ashton asked us.

"Tag??" Harry asked, smiling. We all laughed and nodded, and agreed that Ashton would be 'it'. We all started running as he chased us. He got Michael, who groaned and eventually got Lauren.

"What is going on in here?!" Anne yelled a few minutes later as she came back with the pizzas.

"Harry suggested that we played tag..." Lauren explained. "Okay, well let's eat."

We all went into the kitchen and grabbed a few slices, thanking Anne.

After we ate, we grabbed our sweatshirts and went outside. "Wanna go to the park??" Ashton asked us. "Sure!!" We all said, following him to the park that's nearby.

When we got to the park, we ran over to the swing set- like the 5-year olds that we are. Luckily there were 6 swings and none of us had to wait.

"So Shelby and Michael- how are you guys??" Ashton asked. Michael had asked Shelby out a couple of weeks ago- once the Tyler drama had died down. He asked her last week to be his girlfriend- to which she gladly accepted.

"Great." They both said,  grinning at each other.  "That's good."

We stayed at the park for a little longer before we went back to Ashton's for cake and presents.

"Ashton!!" Harry yelled, jumping into Ashton's arms as we walked in. "You were gone forever!!" "It was only an hour, buddy. I'm back now." Ashton said, setting Harry down and messing with his hair.
"C'mon!! It's time for cake and presents!!" Harry said, leading us to the living room. Anne and Lauren came out with a drum cake. There was one layer- shaped like a drum and a fondant drum kit on top. (pic on top)

We sang to him before he blew out the candles. Anne and Lauren brought the cake back into the kitchen and came out a few minutes later with plates for each of us. "Thank you Anne and Lauren!!" "Thank you mum and Lauren!!"

After we ate, Harry brought all of Ashton's presents over. He grabbed the first one- which I think is Shelby's gift to him. He read the card and smiled before opening it.

Once he got to my present, I smiled. Luke had helped me pick it out and we both knew that he would love it. He read the card before opening the box.

"Oh my god!! Thank you so much Kaelyn!!" He exclaimed as he took out the Tré Cool autographed drum. It wasn't a full kit- it was a small single drum.

He hugged me and thanked me again. "You're welcome Ash." He sat back down and grabbed his next one- Luke's, which corresponded with my present. He took the- again- Tré Cool autographed drumsticks out. He thanked him a few times and finished opening his last couple presents before thanking us all again.

We stayed for a bit longer before Liz came and got Shelby, Luke, and I.

"Bye guys!! Thank you again for the presents!!" Ashton said, hugging us. "You're welcome Ash. Happy birthday!!"

"Hey Liz!!" Shelby and I said as we got in her car. "Hey girls- and Luke!! How was it??" She asked as she backed out of the driveway. "Great!!" The three of us replied.

Soon, Liz pulled up to our houses and we all got out. "Thanks for the ride, Liz." Shelby and I thanked her as we got out. "You're welcome, girls!! G'night!!" "G'night!!"

"Bye Shelby." Luke and I said, hugging her. "Bye Kaelyn and Luke." She replied, walking to her house.

"Bye Luke. See you Monday." "See you Monday, Kaelyn." He replied, hugging me. I hugged back and then waved when he went back to Liz's car.

"Mum, I'm back." "Hey- how was the party??" "Fun. Ashton really likes his present." "That's good. Well, I think that I am going to go to bed. G'night." G'night mum."

I walked to my room and took out my phone.

Ashton: Thank you sooo much for the drum!! (Again) :)

Kaelyn: You're welcome!! I'm glad that you like it!!

Ashton: Like?? How about love?? Haha- good night.

Kaelyn: Haha. Night.
