"Well?"I heard Mars say, however I'm so uneasy the words I wanted to say can't leave my mouth.
"Why is there... what is this?"
There was an awkward tension in the air around us. The air was thick. Questions arose in my head. I had not even a word that would come out of my mouth.
Finally Mars broke the silence.
"Oh good, I didn't get scammed."
I stood there bewildered.
"I needed cyanide for a little project of mine, I just needed you to open the box to make sure that I didn't get scammed and there wasn't something waiting to jump at me from inside the box." Mars said chuckling with relief.
I'm still confused. What sort of project requires cyanide besides murder?
Mars took the box from me and swiftly walked out of the corridor. I followed in pursuit.
I wanted so badly to ask about his "present". Why cyanide? If it isn't murder, what could he possibly be planning? Was he actually planning to kill someone? Someone I know? Someone from the tea party? My head hurts from all these questions...

Mars lead me to a fine diner to meet with our tea party friends. As we ate our food, I couldn't help but glance at Mars repeatedly.
"Is something wrong y/n? Why do you keep looking at Mars like they're a ghost?"
Abbie's comment startled me. I didn't know I was staring that long.
Mars stifled a laugh as he ate his desert. After setting down his plate he explained the cyanide situation that took place in the alleyway.
Sophie chuckled after hearing Mars' explanation.
"Mars I know you have your silly experiments with those types of items, but I don't think you had to scare y/n by giving them the box."
What?
"Mars likes to ask for random items at certain times. Trust me, they get scary." Abbie explained. "Once, he asked for a dagger from me after someone heckled at his performance. I thought he was about to kill someone!"
Everyone at the table nodded at Abbie's statement. Although, Mars had a smug smile on his face.
Jacek then scolded Mars for scaring me. Mars didn't seemed fazed at all.
But I sense that something is off.
