I walk into the cafe on our campus(a/n: they're in college). This is the first time I've ever been in here since it's the first time I've ever stayed up so late doing homework. I decided to go to a party last night and I'm never going to one again, as long as I'm in college.
I need caffeine.
Once I get my order, I look around. The cafe is very full today and the only spot open is in a booth across from a brunette with Amber tips who's doing homework.
I could have just walked out of the cafe and drank my coffee on one of the outdoor tables. But something about the brunette just made me gravitate towards her. Like that booth was a human magnet.
I walk over there.
"Hey, can I sit here? It's the only open seat inside" I say. She looks up at me. Oh, her eyes. They make me feel things I can't even explain. They might just be her best feature.
She smiles.
My knees go weak. Never mind. Her smile is definitely her best feature.
"Yeah, sure. I'm not much of an outside person either" she says. I smile because I can't help myself, and sit down across from her.
"Sooo...." I drawl, trying to start a conversation. She looks at me, questioningly. "Um...what's your name?" I say. She smiles again and my heart starts pounding.
"My name is Laura. What's yours?" She asks, putting down her pencil.
"Ross." I say. She nods, as if saying 'nice name'.
"So, Ross, what is your major?" She asks, testing out the name.
"Music. What's yours?" I ask. She smiles again.
"Mine's music as well" she says. I smile.
"Cool" I say. We've been talking for a minute or two and I've already found something in common with this brunette beauty. We talk for awhile before we both have to get to our next course.
------------1 month later-----------
I gently cup Laura's face in my hands. My heart is in my throat. She smiles at me and that's all it takes for my lips to be on hers. It was a soft, sweet, innocent kiss.........ok, none of that is true. We were full on making out with a couple French kisses here and there for what seemed like half an hour but when I looked at the clock it was only ten minutes later. I smile at her and she smiles back. I can't believe I just had my first kiss with Laura. I guess it was love at first sight.
