I woke up with a start as I noticed the lights were still off. Ok good, I have time to escape before this place opens again, I thought.
I jumped out of the bed and took all my stuff from under the bed and stashed it in my jacket. I began to tiptoe around the large store looking for the exit.
Then all of a sudden, the lights flickered on. Shit, I gotta get out of here, I thought, panicking. I ran around the maze of mattresses that surrounded me and I finally found a door that said "EXIT" above it. I looked around to see if any workers were here yet, and then I ran for the exit.
I was halfway there, and the adrenaline was pumping through my veins, when I heard someone shouting. "Hey! Where do you think you're going, young lady!" Said a booming voice. I skidded to a stop and turned around to find a large man in a security uniform running towards me, beads of sweat running down his tomato-red face. I turned back to the exit and started sprinting again. Hah, I thought to myself, I can outrun this guy easily.
I reached the exit and I pushed open the door, revealing a sunny Gotham. I kept running, knowing the security guard would stop at almost nothing to catch me. I reached a building with about 10 stories, and I carefully but quickly climbed the fire escape. The security guard was panting like a dog, trying to chase me up the fire escape, but he couldn't go any further, as he was gasping for air.
I reached the roof of the building, and I took a look around the scenery. I couldn't really see much, just buildings and crime. But I could also see Wayne Manor in the distance, its large garden and pool take up a lot of land. Then I thought of an insane plan. All of a sudden I couldn't wait till the night.
