Get the Party Started

As the girls looked out the window at the river, I turned down a dirt road. I looked over are my sister and winked.

"Don't you dare, Tyler Mathew Simmons!" she threatened as her eyes got wide. She grabbed hold of the door handle and her knuckles turned white as I pushed the gas pedal to the floor.

Instantly gravel began flying behind the truck. Lilly was in the backseat laughing, Vic was in the passenger seat pouting, and I had my eyes on the road. We turned a corner going sideways and I slowed down as the water cane into view. Lilly leaned forward to laugh at Victoria's expression and I turned the radio down.

"Tyler Mathew Simmons, I will drown you in this river. " Lilly said as I pulled the truck up next to Maylor's truck. The girls got out and Maylor hopped off his trucks  tailgate.

"Bout time y'all got here! Beau and Jasper will be here for long. Beau is bringing his cousin who just came into town from Georgia. Man, she's fine as a fox! Wait till you see her Ty." Maylor laughed, wrapping an arm around Vix's shoulders.

"You ladies better give her a proper welcome. Vic, talk me up a little will ya?" he asked, winking at her. She laughed and kissed his cheek.

"Anything for you my dear. " I made a gagging sound and reached my hand into the ice chest as three more trucks pulled up. Beau's black dodge ram was leading the pack with two four wheelers in tow. He stuck his head out of the window and howled at us as he drove past. His dark hair looked like a birds nest on his head as the wind blew through it.

Lilly laughed and waved, snatching the beer from my hand before I could stop her. "Thanks Ty!" she called over her shoulder as she walked up to the third truck. I crossed my arms and watched her lean up to kiss the boy spilling half his body out of the window to reach her lips. I took a deep breath and shook my head. Annoying as she was, she was my sister and it unnerved me to see her kissing.

"Who invited Carpenter?" I asked, reaching for another beer. Lilly followed my gaze with one of her own and giggled. "He's good for her Ty, he treats her right, even if he does get touchy feely. You shouldn't worry too much about him. I can be the first to tell you they haven't had sex, he's never even asked." she said, leaning over me to grab a beer of her own as Beau and Jasper walked up. "As if that is going to make things better." I rolled my eyes.

Jasper sat between me and Lilly and looked over at Victoria and her boyfriend. "Tyler, Mac isn't going to hurt her. Frog will be way more likely to hurt him. Lil is right. Don't fret man. " he popped my back and nodded to the cooler. "Beer me bro."

I nodded and handed him a beer. The sound of a four wheeler starting up caught my attention. I pulled my gaze away from Victoria and looked over where Beau and Maylor were crouched on the ground looking at one of the four wheelers Beau had brought.

"Beau got new rims for his four wheeler. " Jasper explained, looking over. I hopped off  Maylors tailgate and walked to my truck. Reaching through the open window I turned the radio on and the music blasted.

Everyone looked over at me and started whooping before continuing with what they were already doing. I laughed and walked over towards Beau. I walked around the four wheeler to inspect the rims. "Nice. How much did you spend on em? " I asked, kneeling down in the mud by Beau.

"Not nearly as much as you'd think." He said smiling over at me. His eyes flickered from mine to the dirt road and he stood up. I followed his gaze and stood up as well as two new trucks pulled in. The first truck had a guy I knew from school and the second truck had a few girls in it.

The driver of the second truck climbed out of the truck, and my eyes instantly zeroed in on her. "Who is that? " I asked, looking over at Maylor.

He shrugged and looked at her. Her hair was strawberry blonde, her eyes were as green as the leaves in the trees, her skin was sun kissed and tan. I watched her walk over to Lilly, Victoria, and Mac. Vic gave her a hug and handed her a beer.

Maylor laughed behind me and Beau nudged my ribs with his elbow. "Take her for a ride before Jasper does." he said nodding his head towards Jasper. He was making his way across the grass to the group and I frowned. Jasper had black hair, gray eyes, and was the smoothest talker out of all of us. If Jasper was interested, I didn't stand a chance.

I shook my head and turned back to the four wheeler. "Naw, Jasper's got her covered," I said, taking another swig of beer. "Let's go for a spin!" I said elbowing Beau and downing the last of my beer. He laughed and nodded. "Alright. " he turned around. "Hey Lil! Come here! " I turned and watched Lilly jog over.

"What's up handsome? " she asked. Beau laughed and wrapped his arm around her waist, "let's go ride." her eyes brightened up and she nodded smiling. "I'd love to. " She turned to me. "Tyler, go save Jenna before Jasper totally turns her off boys forever!" She said, her eyes wide. I nodded and turned around.

So her name is Jenna huh?  I took a deep breath as I walked up to the group. I looked right at Jenna and smiled. "Hey, I'm Ty. Do you want to go for a ride? " I asked, holding my hand out to her.
