Tell Me More, Tell Me More.... (OneShot)

Helen POV
I sit in the cramped coffee shop waiting for Lauren, we both have the morning off and thought it would be nice to meet up just us, I know she took mine and Max's London news hard and despite her being supportive about it now I know she's still hurting about it, she's my Bestfriend and I know our friendship has been Rocky these past few years but I care about her approval more than anyone's.

Just then Lauren enters the shop, I get up and we both stand in the line to get our orders once we have gotten them we sit down and share a blueberry and almond muffin as Lauren begins to speak "So how did it happen?" "Mmm pardon?" Looking up at her confused, she rolls her eyes "You and Max, how did it happen? Girl I want all the details including the spicy ones" I roll my eyes as she smirks at me "There's not much to say" I mumble out feeling a blush come up on my face, Lauren takes the muffin and holds it above her head "no muffin unless I get the story, come on all I know about him from you is that he snores and that he's dirty and not even in the fun way...unless he is?" I cackle loudly causing me to cover my mouth with my hand as I feel neighbouring tables looking at me as a Lauren chuckles and places the muffins back on the table, "Come on...you owe me after telling me your moving countries at a party with everyone else" I stop laughing and catch the sad expression painted on Lauren's face, I reach across the table and grab her hand "you know I'm sorry for that? I didn't know he was going to do that, I also wanted to tell you before but I just wanted to be sure" Lauren nods and squeezes my hand "so know Hon, I'm not pissed at you anymore so promise.... Now come on spill the Tea" I laugh again and sigh knowing she's not going to give up anytime soon.

"Well it started with the chemical spill, seeing him drenched in it absolutely terrified me Lauren, cradling him in that shower I thought I was going to lose him; words were said by both of us, I didn't think much of it we were both in a high emotional state and he was delirious but then he woke up and said I was the most important thing to him and....and we almost kissed" Lauren gasped and I continued "we would of if Gwen had not rang but she did and all of a sudden he was lifted into a custody battle and then I was jetting off with Mina go London so we kinder just didn't mention anything else about it for a while. It really started when I arrived at New York early, I caught a stand by flight and..." Lauren laughs loudly "Wow!! Your telling me Dr Helen took a stand by flight" she gasps in a sarcastic tone and once again I roll my eyes "Shut up you" I snigger but contour "I wanted to... see him definitely after that voicemail he sent me" Lauren interrupts again confused "wait wait wait what voicemail?!?" I blush and go quiet... she rolls her eyes "No Helen you don't get to go quiet now, come on spill" I sigh; "while I was in London he left me a voicemail saying he missed me... he needed to see me and he wanted to be with me....in every way he's  been dreaming of..." Lauren covered her mouth while her eyes go completely wide "Dr Goodwin I'm impressed!!" She says with approval, I smirk and continue "I sent him a voicemail back saying I had been doing some fantasying of my own" Lauren's jaw slacks open she looks at me completely in silence and I just snigger and blush at the sight while taking a sip of my coffee before continuing "So I took a stand by flight to see him, I'm not sure what I was expecting but it definitely wasn't what I got, I returned to the Dam and we bumped into each other everything was fine until he started talking about how he lost his wedding ring and it freaked him out" Lauren sees the brief sadness in my eyes and grabs my hand and squeezes it I'm so sorry Helen, that Man is an idiot I swear to God!" I smile softly "it's okay... anyway I was hurt by it so when he asked if we could go for a chat I declined I didn't want to talk to him, I was pissed at him. Lauren chuckles at this as I continue "but then he asked if he could walk with me even if it was in silence so I agreed. He walked me home and then left once we got to my apartment I was just about to open a bottle of wine when I heard banging on my door so I rushed to answer it thinking it was an emergency but it was Max, he just came straight inside and um he kissed me" I blushed and I know Lauren knows there's more to the story she looks me quizzically "and?" She says waiting for more to which I shrug and say "I kissed him back, nothing to it" Lauren rolls her eyes at me "you telling me all you fools did after 3yrs of INTENSE sexual chemistry was kiss....yeah na I don't believe it especially as the next day he came in with the biggest shit eating grin on his face I've seen, it definitely screamed "I got some also Reynolds said in the locker room while changing he swore he saw scratch marks on his back so you wouldn't know anything about that would you?".... I smirk as I hide my face.
