Valentine's pov
I had not heard from Xavier since the party so I thought he was done with whatever he was trying to do, so why?......why now?.....why did he have to call now?

I took the phone and put it on silent but the vibrations were still heard on the table.

"Is it him?" Adrian had the same expression from the party, I hated it when he did that, he seemed so emotionless, like he didn't care about what I was about to say or do.

"Pick it up"

I just did what he said and didn't question him.

X: Where is Valentine?
A: He's unable to talk right now

Adrian ended the call and put his focus back on me, it was the first time I heard him curse.
