chapter 29

Adrian's pov

~months later~

These past few months  have been amazing, I spend some time with aunt Sarah and also with Val his family, we went on countless of dates and always showered each other with love, we spent birthdays together, holidays, special events, we were with each other from the start of the day till the end of the night. At one point it almost seemed like I was living with Val since I slept over almost every night.

"Ring.....ring"
Val slept beside me and the call immediately woke him up.

"Who's calling you so early?" His voice was really sexy, it was deep and raspy because he just woke up. He pulled me closer to him and rested his head on my stomach. He's so cute when he's acting like a baby.

"It's your sister"

(A= Adrian, E= Emily)

A: Hey Em
E: Adrian! How are you?
A: I'm doing great, what about you?
E: I'm good. Do you have anything to do? No right? I need you for something so I'm gonna come get you and leave Jonathan with Val but don't tell him ok
A: Em what are you going to do?
E: Nothing, I'll be there in an hour ok

(Ends call)

Emily always tries to do something to get on Val's nerves, one day she even tried to flirt with me infront of him to make him mad and almost got me in trouble too. She really is a free spirit and fun to have around.

"What did she want?"

"She just wanted to ask something"
I don't want to lie to him but if I tell him now he won't let me go, he always acts so dramatic when Emily asks me to go somewhere with her.

I went to take a shower and when I got out Val sat on the bed with his laptop on his lap while he was on the phone. I took my clothes and got ready, Val looked at me while I was wearing my clothes and whispered something to me while he was on the phone.

"Where are you going?"
I acted like I didn't understand and went out of the room.

A half hour later Emily knocked on the door and stood with Jonathan outside.

"Hii uncle A" Jonathan walked inside and gave me a hug with his mother behind him.

"Hey big guy, how are you doing?"

"I'm doing super good"

"Really? Are you ready to play with uncle Vally today?"

"Yess!"

The three of us marched to Val his room to finally tell him what was about to happen and Emily was the first to enter, before Val could even process the situation she just said
"I'm going out with Adrian, spend some time with your nephew ok. I'll bring some snacks for you when we come home".

Val didn't even get a chance to answer and I was basically being dragged to the car. When we got in the car Val was calling us like some mad man, Emily didn't let me answer the phone and I felt really bad for him.

Message:
To Val: I'm so sorry. I don't know when I'll be home but I'll make it up to you when I get home ok. I'm sorry. Love you

From Val: Don't be sorry kitten, cause I won't be when I'm done with you tonight.
Don't keep me waiting too long.

Emily was sitting right next to me and I tried not to blush like an idiot but in the end I couldn't help it. It wasn't that long since I left but I already wanted to go back home.

Emily first drove to a restaurant and we had our breakfast since we didn't eat at home and after that Emily went shopping for clothes.

"You don't mind that I dragged you out here right?"

"Of course not"

"I actually have a date tomorrow and I don't have anything to wear"

"Really, who's the lucky guy"

"Someone I met at my cafe, he was a really nice guy"

"I'm really happy for you"

Val told me that Jonathan's father past away a couple of years ago and said that it was quite hard for her to move on and talk with other people. She isolated herself from the world while the death of her husband almost drove her crazy and she didn't know what to do with Jonathan. Jonathan stayed with his grandmother and Val would help his from time to time while Emily got herself together again. She really is a strong woman, I know what it's like to lose someone you love and the fact that she got through it and is able to open her heart again shows how strong she is.
I'll be rooting for you Em!

We went shopping and we bought more than we needed to, Emily got a beautiful dress and she also bought some shoes to go with it. We had lunch, watched a movie and Emily also got her hair done. When we went outside the salon it was already dark and we decided to by dinner and go home.

We bought pizza for the boys and went home as fast as we could. Val must be mad that I stayed that long.

We got to the house and when I went inside it was a bit too quiet, usually when we go out it would either be Jonathan or Val who welcomed us home, but the house was so quiet the only thing you could hear were the bags in our hands.

"Are the boys not home yet" Emily said, looking as confused as I was.

We searched the living room and kitchen and still saw no sign of them. We went upstairs, opened the door to the bedroom and there they were, lying on the bed so peacefully, they must be exhausted. Jonathan laid on Val his chest with his mouth a little open drooling all over him, it was so cute. Val almost looked like Jonathan his father and sometimes I really do feel bad that I can't give him something like that, he could be a pretty good father to his children.

I felt myself getting sad and slapped myself back to reality. I was getting sad for no reason Val already reassured me that he loved me no matter what and that he doesn't care about that so there's no need for me to be sad.

He's shown me countless of time that his love for me is unconditional and it would remain that way for the rest of our lives.
