Chapter 1:Released

Kara POV

I woke up in the same small bed,in the same white empty room with the wooden desk with my carvings in it from the last 2 years Ive been in Charlier the city mental institution.I sat up in my bed,and winced because a piece of thread got stuck on the deep scabbed cut coming from the back of my shoulder down my arm ending on the top of my right hand.I quickly took the string from my cut.I pulled of my blankets,and hesitantly put my feet on the cold floor.I sat on the side of my bed with my black yoga pants and grey t-shirt,my long hair down naturally straight.I was able to wear these clothes because my parents were able to bring me some as long as they didn't have any strings.I stood up and headed toward the bard window I stood there staring at the window until the steal door opens,and in comes nurse Tiena..she was my regular nurse.She came in with a clipboard and a pencil wearing her normal white nurse outfit."Kara we have some good news,"she says..I hum in response still looking out the window."You are being released to your parents,they will be here soon!So start getting what you have together I'll be back to help you."she finished and left the room the door closing quietly.

I turn around from my window in disbelief,I cant believe I'm going to go home in my own bed in my own room,with my parents..and Lila my german Shepard.I thought about this feeling scared,excited,and nervous at the same time.If Im going home that means I have to go back to school,and face everyone..people already think Im crazy,but I believe Im not crazy..nobody believes me.I grabbed my sketch pad from under the bed and I grabbed a book from the desk.The nurse then came back a small bag in her hands with my clothes in it.She told me to put my things inside and put my white shoes on,so thats what I did not saying a word."Kara aren't you excited?"she asks curiously I ignore her question and ask slowly,"Will,and when will I be going back to school?"

"You wont be going to school for at least 2 months dear."She answers softly and I nod.

After my parents came and I was released the ride to my house was filled with questions and plans from my mom.

When we got home I was greeted by my dog Lila and went to my room I put my things down and just laid down on my bed starring at the skylight above me.
