Chapter 5:Friends & Enemies

Cameron POV

I woke up early because I was meeting my friends Nash,Matt,Aaron,and my girlfriend Madison at the school park.I took a shower,got dressed and quietly went downstairs(outfit above).I grabbed a banana my vans backpack and went out the door after yelling goodbye to my mom.I decided to walk there sense it was nice out,even though I live a little farther from the school.After about 5 minutes of walking I saw another person walk out from there yard,and realize that its Kara.I texted her last night that I was sorry because I really did feel bad about what happened.Damn her house is huge,her parents must be rich...I thought as I walked past it.I picked up my pace and caught up to her,I tapped her shoulder,"What do you want?"She says sounding exhausted as she turns around to see it was me."Nothing I just saw you walking and-"

"Ok,I hope you don't mind if I smoke a cigarette then."She says

"No go ahead."I say as she pulls one out,and lights it,"I would've smoked a cigarette even if you did mind anyway."She said.I just let out a quiet short laugh,and kept walking beside her.We had a long conversation about if mustangs were better than chargers,when we finally got to the school,"Hey you can come hang out with me and a couple friends if you want...at the school park."

"Are you sure you wanna be seen with me...the girl who supposedly murdered her own sister."she said,her gaze set on the ground,"I know that,that isn't true."I said looking straight at her,"how?"she asked looking up at me."I just...know."

There was a short pause then she said,"ok fine." We walked to the Tree next to the bench where Matt,Nash,and Aaron were.They all had a slightly surprised expression on their face as they saw who was walking next to me,and I gave them a look letting them know not to be assholes.We walked up in front of my three friends,"Hey guys,whats up?"

"Nothin much ,whats up with you?"

Matt asks and they all laugh,"nothing much,wheres Madison?"I ask,when someone jumps up on my back,and I knew it was her.She then covered my eyes with her hands,"who is it?"she asks,giggling."I don't know is it Madison?"I asked laughing,"yup"she laughed quickly getting off my back.I turn around and give her a peck on the lips,then we turn around to face everybody.Kara was standing a little farther from me after Madison came.I hope she doesn't think Im ignoring her,but she isn't talking to anyone...oh yea thats because I didn't introduce her or anything.I took a breath about to say something when Matts girlfriend Mckenzie,or as her friends call her Mickey appeared from the parking lot.Matt pecked her on the lips and I cleared my throat,"everyone this is my friend Kara."I said gesturing to her and they said their hellos,she gave me that look like were not friends.I laughed quietly,and Mickey,and her started talking.I was happy that she was talking to someone,and I hope that her and Mickey can be friends."Sense when did that happen?"Madison turned to me and asked,

"what are you talking about?"

"Sense when did you,and KARA hang out?"She asked making a face like she was disgusted to even say Kara's name."Sense we started school,why do you have a problem with that?"I asked god she is really gonna start pissing me off,does she like believe the rumors or something."No, I just don't think its such a good idea she has been mentally unstable for 2 years,and probably still is..."She said,is she really gonna act like this,shes acting like Kara is some type of criminal."Which is all the more reason she needs friends,you are being really inconsiderate right now...and I didn't think you'd act like this," "Im just trying to look out for you,"She said reaching her hand to touch my face,"well I can look after myself."I said and turned to go talk to Nash,I just left her standing there.I didn't feel like dealing with her right now,when I turned back to Nash I realized that Kara was gone.What happened?I then decided to go look for her,and told Nash and the others Id catch up.I first went to look around the first building,when I made my way to the back of the building.The first thing I see is some guy grabbing onto Kara's shirt pinning her to the wall,it says Justin on the back of his backpack...that must be his name. He was tall with blonde messy,curly hair,what was he doing...when Kara saw me I acted quickly running up behind Justin.When he suddenly pulls out a knife...I stop.
