Chapter 8~Invitation

Without thinking, Kuzuha ran over to the bathroom. He took a deep breath in, and gently turned the door knob. In front of him, leaning over the toilet bowl, was Kanae. The brunette didn't seem to notice Kuzuha yet. The vampire grabbed Kanae's arm and pulled him up, earning a 'wuah-' from the man. 

Now, Kanae was facing his best friend who had caught him in a horrible act. Kuzuha didn't say anything, he only had a look of horror on his face. Kanae's heart sank. He couldn't bear to look at his dear friend. Reluctantly, the brunette wrapped his arms around the taller male, whispering to him a soft 'sorry.' 

"Don't do that again," Kuzuha commanded, his voice more soft and calming.

"Okay," Kanae assured him.

The next day~8:30

Kanae woke up to Kuzuha's voice cursing at his Nintendo switch.  He chuckled as he sat up in bed, still wearing Kuzuha's shirt. 

"Good morning~" The brunette called out.

"Morning, go change will you? You've been wearing that since yesterday," Kuzuha replied, still struggling with his game.

'But I like this,' Kanae thought. Even so, he got up and tiptoed to the closet. He ignored all his own clothing and reached for another on of Kuzuha's shirts. This time, it was a simple black one. The brunette waltzed to the bathroom for a quick shower. 

By the time Kanae finished his shower, Kuzuha was still gaming hard. Kanae decided to let him be and make breakfast for himself.

"I'm going to make breakfast, do you want anything?" Kanae asked. Still no answer.

9:25

Kanae entered the bedroom with strawberry milk in hand, determined to get the vampire's attention. "Here," he handed Kuzuha the small bottle of strawberry milk.

"Oh thanks," Kuzuha reached out to grab the bottle and when he turned his attention back to his switch, the screen taunted him with two words: GAME OVER

Kanae watched as Kuzuha threw the switch on the bed in frustration. Giving the vampire a sweet smile, he whispered "Sorry about that~"

"Eh it's nothing," Kuzuha turned his head, "Didn't I tell you to change?!"

"I did, this is a different one," Kanae said, smiling brightly.

Seconds later, Kuzuha's face turned as red as blood and he turned the other way. This confused Kanae until the realization hit him.

"Heyy~ Are you embarrassed?"

"Of course not. Change. Now," the vamp commanded.

"No thanks, this is comfy!" Kanae argued back.

Some back and forth bickering later, a ring was heard coming from the front door. Telling Kanae to put on some pants, Kuzuha went to answer the door. There, stood a familiar girl, Kirika. The vampire let her in. They sat on the couch making small talk, something Kuzuha definitely struggled with. 

A few minutes went by when the two were greeted by Kanae, still wearing Kuzuha's shirt and some random sweatpants. 

"Oh Kanae! Sorry for the sudden intrusion, I actually wanted to invite you two to a party I'm going to tonight, at 6pm." the girl said with a sweet smile that no one could resist. "I was just passing by and thought to invite you guys."

Kanae gave Kirika a smile and turned to Kuzuha, sitting down next to him. "Kuzuha, what do you think?" he said. The vampire looked even more uncomfortable than he was before. 

'Well, I guess I can't refuse.. we aren't that close anyway.'  The vampire thought.

"I guess we can. I have nothing to do today anyway." Kuzuha said, in fear of offending Kirika who had came all this way to invite them. How thoughtful of him.

"It's settled then!" Kanae clapped his hands together.

"That's great! Oh, is it okay if I stay here so we can leave together?" Kirika asked

"Yeah that's fine." Kuzuha answered.

Kirika cheered in joy and gave Kanae a look.

Ok that's all for today. Did y'all miss me? Kanae slowly getting closer to his limit and finally making a damn move. Kuzuha getting a tiny bit more suspicious of his little cinnamon roll. Kirika about to change everything. See ya next timmeeee <3
