Chapter 7~Lime

Kuzuha once again woke up to an empty space beside him. He groaned and shuffled in his spot a few times before reaching over for his phone. The time was exactly six-thirty.  The vampire figured that he would nap a while longer. He definitely didn't have the energy to get up after yesterday's event. Just as he was about to doze off, the sound of the door creaking rang in his ears. It was Kanae. 'At least he's still here,'  the vampire thought. He felt a presence creeping up behind him. After a second, someone lightly shook his shoulder. 

Receiving no answer from the sleeping male, Kanae shook harder and harder, but still there was no answer. He sighed in defeat and tiptoed to a shelving unit near the bathroom door. Kuzuha heard some items being moved around, so he turned over to inspect the brunette. Immediately, the vampire's eyes widened. He was surely awake now. Kanae stood up and walked towards him with a medical kit in hand, wearing one of Kuzuha's shirts. It was a simple white shirt. Although it fit Kuzuha perfectly, it was just a little big on Kanae. The hem of the shirt was able to cover the very top of his thighs. The vampire was much too flustered to go back to sleep now.

"I tried to treat your scar yesterday, but you kept turning away." Kanae said softly, pulling out a small bag of cotton balls. (A/N I have no idea how to treat wounds okay)

Kanae opened up a small bottle of saline solution. (Don't even try to correct me) Kuzuha  foolishly decided to sit up. Bad move, but also good, in a way. The shorter male did not hesitate to grab him by the shoulder, stopping him from sitting up. Kanae took a deep breath, the vampire noticing the faint blush on his pale face. Just a second went by. The brunette lifted himself slightly and sat on the vampire's lower abdomen. Damn. (To explain more, Kuzuha is on his back and Kanae is sat on his lower abdomen? Like.. the below the belly button?)

"Hey! What the heck?" Kuzuha yelled, a shade of crimson already creeping up on his face.

Kanae stayed silent, for if he spoke now, he would surely say something stupid. Although the brunette's mind was already going wild, he calmly poured a small amount of saline solution on a cotton ball. He decided that since the day was already going badly, might as well go all the way. Kanae reached down with his free hand and placed it atop the vampire's chest, causing both their faces to heat up. 'Oh well, no going back now.' Kanae started to clean the wound on the other's face, being as gentle as possible. He tried his best not to hurt Kuzuha while the vampire could only stare at his beautiful blue-gray eyes. 

The cleaning process only took a couple of seconds and Kanae finished up with a cute plaster. It was indeed cute, a pink color with a picture of a cartoon cat on it. Thankfully, Kuzuha didn't see it or else he would've given Kanae a good scolding.

"Done! See? That wasn't so hard." Kanae told the vampire and he tried to get off the poor guy. He moved back and immediately felt something poke his behind. After taking a moment to process what was going on, Kanae felt the realization hit him like a truck. Not only did Kuzuha get hard from Kanae sitting on him, but now they were in a pretty awkward situation. One part of Kanae wanted to do so much more with the man in front of him, but another part of him saw the discomfort in Kuzuha's eyes. Despite his own desires, the brunette got off  his friend and calmly walked out the door, leaving Kuzuha with a red dust all over his face.

The flustered vampire relieved himself in the bathroom, and took a quick shower right after. Outside, the brunette sat on the couch, watching TV and snacking on a bag of chips. Hours went by, of Kuzuha playing games in his bedroom and Kanae binging Netflix. Neither of them wanted to be the first to break the awkward silence.

After finishing the last episode of *insert random anime*, Kanae looked down to realize that he had finished a whole bag of chips. For some reason, he felt sick. He surely would never eat while distracted by a good anime ever again. The brunette had actually tried to eat a good breakfast that morning, how could he be so careless to finish a whole bag of chips? Slowly, he got up and walked to the other bathroom. For a pretty small apartment, there were two bathrooms. How nice. As Kanae was approaching the toilet, his arm accidentally hit a bottle of soap that had been sitting on the edge of the sink. The bottle bounced on the cold floor, producing a loud noise. The brunette placed it back on the sink, hoping that his friend didn't hear that. After confirming that no one was outside, he bent down, being careful not to touch the dirty toilet seat. He carefully placed two fingers on his tongue and slowly pushed further back. He breathed in and out slowly to control his gag reflex. 

Kuzuha was laying in bed, playing games on his phone, when he heard the faint sound of something hitting the floor. He felt a sense of uneasiness. Should he go check what it was? Should he ignore it? A few minutes went by of the vampire contemplating. At last, he decided that if he didn't go out, this would trouble for ChroNoiR. Besides, they had an upcoming stream that night. So Kuzuha defeatedly stood up and walked out the bedroom door. He looked around for a moment. Realizing Kanae wasn't there, he thought that maybe he might've left. Just as the vampire was about to check the hallway, he heard a muffled "hmph." That one sound alarmed him greatly.
