Chapter 2!

After hearing about the hunter exam, I decided to go back to the hideout to grab some things such as my daggers, a f/c tank top and a pair of shorts. I thought it would be best to leave ASAP. So the next day when everyone is gone, that's when ill take my leave.

'Okay everyone is out. Now I'm finally leaving this dump' I thought to myself. But as soon as I reached the door it opened.

I prepared myself for battle as I was not going to stay here no matter what anyone said but then I sighed in relief seeing who it was. Shizuku.

"Hey Y/N! Your back already!" She looked down to see the bag of things I was holding.  "Oh? Where are you going?" She tilted her head in question.

"Oh! I'm bringing this for my mission." I used an excuse that I came up with on the spot, using the fact that she forgot things easily to my advantage.

"Hm okay! See ya!" She then walked past me into the building because she knew she forgot something, she just wasn't sure what.

Timeskip to on the boat~

'Ugh everyone here is stupid. How disappointing' I thought to myself. Then I heard a young boy yelling saying that a storm is coming, which quickly pulled me from my thoughts.

Everyone rushed inside to where it was safe as the waves roughly crashed against the side of the boat and the rain thundered down.

The captain then opened the door seeing wannabe hunters almost knocked out or crying to themselves. He glanced all around the room with a look of distate on his face.

Then his eyes landed on a certain couple of people.

"You four!" He shouted, pointing too a little boy all dressing in green, a boy who looked so much like a girl it was hard to distinguish his gender, an old man who could possibly be a teenager and me.

We all followed him down the hallway to the captains quarters. He sat down in his chair and turned to face the four of us who were standing in a line, awaiting his next words.

"So what are your names?" He asked us with a gruff voice. "I'm Gon!" The boy in green, Gon, said rather enthusiastically. "I'm Y/N. Do not call me otherwise". I said in a flat tone. The old looking teenager then pointed at gon and I and yelled "Hey! You guys don't have to tell the old man nothing!" For some reason he sounded pissed. 

"Huh? But its not a secret." Gon stated looking up at the tall male, who was just about fuming.

"Yeah. If you haven't noticed, the exam has already started." I explained, glancing at the much taller male. 'What an idiot' I thought.

"Hmph. Katzo, tell the committee we have two more dropouts." The captain frowned making the femboy and the unusually tall man gasp with widened eyes.

"What?!" They said in unison. "Very well then. I am Kurapika." Kurapika gave in. "The names Leorio. MR Leorio." Leorio then gave in also.

"Now, why do you all want to become hunters?" The captain asked us. "I want to find my dad! He's a hunter too!" Gon said happily. I watched as the captains eyes widened at Gons response and wondered what that could be about.

"I just wanted to get away from my brother, when I heard two people talking about it, I decided to come and have a go" I explained, trying not to show the toll my brother had had on my self esteem.

"I am seeking revenge on the Phantom troupe. The gorged the eyes out of my clan like it was nothing." Kurapika said with gritted teeth. But sadly, I zoned out, lost in my own thoughts and missed his explanation.

"Easy. THE MONEY!" I heard Leorio yell, which forcibly snapped me out of my thoughts. "Money?" Gon turned and questioned. "Yeah! Money can buy you lots of things! Like a big house, a nice car, hot girls and Booze!" Leorio exclaimed to Gon, laughing to himself afterwards.

Kurapika tilted his head downwards. "If only it could buy you class, Leorio." Kurpiak said bluntly. "What did you say brat" Leorio clenched his fists and then got into some argument with Kurapika that I wasn't paying attention too.

Timeskip~

We then soon arrived at an island. The captain called gon over and began talking with him about something but I didn't want to eavesdrop. Kurapika and Leorio were attempting to figure out how to get too the exam site.

"Oh my God, why did I have to get stuck with such idiots." I squeezed my eyes shut and muttered to myself. I once again zoned out as I could feel myself beginning to get burnt by the hot sun.

"Y/N! Are you coming?" Gon shouted at me. "Sorry what?!" I shouted back, running over to the group of boys. "Come on the captain said to head to this big ceader tree" Gon explained to me. "Yeah okay ill come! Are you going to, kurapika?"

Kurapika out his hand on his chin and began thinking. "Sure, why not?" He smiled at me. 'Bleh. I feel...hot? Sick? It feels like I'm going to throw up but at the same time...not? Must be the heat' my thoughts began racing about this unknown feeling that I had never experienced.

"Yeah well you guys go on ahead! I'm going to follow the map" Leorio stated, not confident in the Captains advice. "I didn't know you guys for long but it was nice knowing you, I guess" and then he walked off.

"We better get going then" Kurapika said to me and Gon. We were walking in silence for a bit until we heard shouting up behind us. We all turned to see a puffed out leorio chasing us. "Changed your mind eh?" I asked him. He blushed "yeah yeah whatever."

So as a group, we all continued on our way.
