Blue Eyes

Mew's pov....

I came home after restless job hours. I opened the door and met with silence.

"Honey! I'm home." I called for my wifey but recieved no response. I went inside our bedroom and found the person I was looking for.
"Why didn't you answered when I called you?" I sat near him and patted his head softly.

He was sitting at the corner of bed, hugging his knees, his whole body was shivering...like always.
"I-I'm scared. I'm not lying Mew. Please believe me." He said while looking at me with his teary eyes.

I smiled at him. "Come here Gulf. Its nothing! Just your imagination." I said as I took him into a warm hug. But he jumped away.

"You think I'm lying again. I literally saw those blue eyes again. There. Is. Something. Wrong. With. This. Mirror. Please believe me."
He said while pointing at the mirror of our dress table. It's been a month since all it started. According to him, when he's at home doing all household, while cleaning mirror he sees a pair of blue eyes inside the mirror.

"No dear. You're not lying. But...-"

"Mew! Go and see yourself. Their is something wrong with this mirror. We should replace it with new one. Let's do this."

"This isn't possible. This mirror is attached to the walls. If we decide to replace it, we have to break our walls too." I tried explaining him. Apart from expenditure, this wasn't a right thing to do. I made him stand up. And wiped his inscribed tears away. "You should take rest for a while. Its already evening. Sleep for now and we will have our dinner outside today, okay?" I assured him with a smile and he calmed down.

I placed him gently to the bed. And waited for him to fall asleep.
After an hour there were no sounds coming from him. So I made my way outside the room. I rested my back on dining chair and massaged my temple. It's becoming a serious issue now. If things gonna work like this, he'll fall sick. And I didn't wanted that.

It's true that the mirror attached to the wall is actually the way to a store room engraved inside the walls. Gulf didn't knew this. It's an extra room for hiding or storing extra stuffs which are mostly not in use.

But I was so confused. How come he was seeing blue eyes? Because I was sure the dead body I put there had brown eyes.
