Izuku had slept through his alarm, causing him to take a later train.

If only his mother woke him up sooner.

TW!

Train crash.

Izuku was running late.

Despite the incessant beeping that came from his alarm clock, he'd managed to peacefully sleep through it. He had only been woken up by the concerned face of his mother. She'd obviously had been hearing the screech of the clock for a while if the hint of annoyance etched on her face said anything.

Panicked, he'd quickly put on the first uniform he could find and rushed out of his room. He'd practically sighed in relief as he noticed the slice of toast sitting on the counter. He thanked his mum, picking up the toast before running out the door. To be completely honest, he was seriously contemplating using his quirk as a small boost.

Dodging and weaving through the crowd, he pushed past. He may have gotten a few annoyed glares but he simply couldn't be late. Aizawa would have his head if he was. Thankfully though, the train station wasn't too far away from his house.

Izuku panted as the train station came into view. A smile came to his face as he checked the time. He still had time to make it to the train that came after the one he usually does. He rushed over, scanning his IC card as he walked through.

Izuku nibbled at the toast that was still in his mouth as he waited for the train to come. Only a couple of minutes later and Izuku had finished his food. The train arrived not long after. He made his way through the small crowd of people and secured a seat near the door. Izuku whipped out his phone after mere minutes of sitting. It was the teenager in him.

The carriage he was on was quite quiet compared to most of the others. But Izuku was glad for that fact, enjoying the time where he could hear his thoughts. He'd certainly when he got to class. I mean, have you met Kaminari? He's the loudest, only second to King Explosion Murder himself.

Due to the semi-quiet nature of his carriage, he'd noticed a small, albeit faint, grinding noise emanating from it. Frowning, he wondered what it could be before he suddenly lurched off of his seat. Looking around the cabin, he noticed the other occupants in similar positions on the floor.

Things were fine as the occupants and Izuku himself dusted themselves off and went back to the positions they were previously in. The driver spoke over the intercoms as they announced the reason for the sudden break, explaining that there was a villain who was fighting at the next station.

Izuku sighed as he tapped at his phone idly. He opened his emails and wrote out an explanation as to why he would be late to Aizawa. He opted to not tell the man that he'd slept in though. He'd like his dignity in one piece thank you very much.

Just as he was about to press send, he was once again launched off of his chair. This time though, a large amount of pressure was thrust atop of him, hearing some cracking noises coming from his chest as it happened. He craned his neck, hoping for a better look as to what the issue was. But he could see nothing aside from bent metal. He winced, attempting to lift the weight off of him.

After a few attempts, he gave up, opting to stay put. After a while, he got bored. Izuku sighed, seeing if he could find his phone somewhere in the wreckage. He let out a triumphant noise as his hands gripped the small device.

Looking over it, there was surprisingly not that much damage. There was only one crack that occupied the top portion of the screen. Izuku turned it on, wincing at the small amount of artificial light. Glancing at the time, he concluded that class had started twenty minutes ago.

Izuku opened up the camera app after inputting his password. Sticking his arm in front of himself, he snapped a picture. He grinned to himself as he opened his drafted email attaching said picture. Izuku gave the email some quick editing before sending it off.

The reply of his teacher was almost immediate. Aizawa demanded where he was, telling him that he was coming to help with some of the other teachers. Izuku laughed to himself at the worry that dripped the lines of the response.

God, Izuku thought, his teacher was such a dad.
