Izuku scribbled down notes mindlessly, his hand aching from the prominent scars that lay upon them. The classroom was silent, sans the loud and distinct voice of their teacher.

Despite the interesting topic, Izuku was bored out of his mind.

He already learnt all the material that was required for his spot at U.A. He had to. He didn't know what would have happened if he had failed them. Izuku shivered, focusing all his brainpower into looking like he was paying attention.

Izuku glanced around the room, looking over his classmates. If only he had a seat at the back. It would make his job so much easier. Discretely, he pulled out one of his books, positioning it underneath the one he was taking notes in.

With a watchful gaze, Izuku noted down any small behaviours that he noticed. From the way that Kaminari picked his nose with his pinky to the way that Jiro's earplugs twitched with every little noise made.

The bell rang with a sudden ferocity, locking Izuku out of his notetaking. Looking down at his gibberish of a code he sighed, closing the books on his desk.

"Hey Deku! Iida and I were thinking of going to the mall after classes today. Would you like to join us?" Uraraka asked, bouncing in the balls of her feet.

Izuku smiled at her antics before his expression turned into one of sadness. "I'd love to," he began, "but I've promised my mum that I'd visit her today. With the dorms and everything going on, I haven't had the chance to see her. And you know how protective she gets."

Uraraka let out a small laugh."Oh, I know, Tell her I said hi, alright?"

"What kind of friend would I be if I didn't?"

Izuku dragged his feet along the ground of the corridor. Pausing for a moment, he takes a deep breath.

Calm now, freak out later. Izuku's mind chanted. All he needed to do was get to his dorm room, change then go 'home'.
