Chapter 25

Standing in front of the Ferrari mansion I looked around to find the guards who are always standing at the main gate in the same rigid position without a smile on his face, still standing there.

As soon as one of theirs eyes landed on me, he pulled out his walkie-talkie and said something that I was unable to hear owing to the distance we were standing at but from what I could tell, he must be informing my folks or the other guard about my arrival.

I hadn't informed anyone that I would be coming back today. I wanted it to be a surprise for everyone. Not only is my arrival, safe and sound but also the news of our family being alive will give them a huge shock.

I walked up to Landon, our security head who had joined with many other guards, to the big metallic gate which is secured with high-tech systems.

"Hey, Lan! Could you help me with something?"

"Sure miss, just ask!" He said.

"Um, would you let all of us in without informing anyone inside?"

"Uh...you want me to allow these people in?" He asked unsure of what I had asked him to do. He eyes the people behind me who were covered in hats and glasses so that no one could recognize them.

"Pretty much yes. They are harmless and with me. You can trust me. Just don't tell anyone and keep the doors open while I will be inside talking to dad and my brothers." I instructed.

"Ok, mam!" His tone was firm and professional unlike before.

I walked up to the threshold of the living area where dad and Leo were sitting, discussing something that looked like some very serious topic. They were so engrossed in the talk that they were unable to notice me.

I cleared my throat to divert their attention to me.

They craned their heads towards me as soon as they heard my voice and quickly stood up. After a minute or two, they came running up to me and took me in a bear hug. A hug that crushed my bones and took my breath away. Still, I didn't react knowing that they needed this reassurance. We stayed there for another moment. Leo was the first one to break the hug. U could see his eyes glistening with tears. He quickly wiped the drop of tear which was going to fall and turned his eyes toward the staircase.

"Luca, Enzo, Dante, Mateo, Mario, come down real quick." He shouted at the top of his voice. "You know Sorella they hadn't left your room since the day you were kidnapped." He continued looking at me in a much softer tone.

"Are you fine Bambina? Look at me! Let me call the doctor. Leo give a call to Dr. Stan and ask him to come here." Dad exclaimed quickly. His hands were inspecting each and every inch of my body as he twirled me around to get a better look at my back. His care and concern filled my heart with warmth.

"Dad!" I called him out. My voice, so soft that even I had a hard time recognizing it myself. It almost came out as a whisper. "I am absolutely fine. You don't need to worry, the family took good care of me." I continued.

He heaved a sigh of relief and dragged me by my arm towards the couch. The moment I took my seat, I heard a flock of birds...oops...I mean the feet of my brothers coming in contact with the marble staircase as they came running and pushing each other.

"What is it, Leo..." Before Enzo could continue with his question a scream was heard and Mario stood there with the rest of my brothers with a horrified expression etched on his face. Others paused and turned to face him confused with the sudden change in his behavior.

"Mario, are you alright?" Luca asked.

"Huh? No! I am not! Absolutely not! It's not like I am seeing a ghost in my house" He whispered as he came out of the trance he was in.

"The fuck! What are you talking about, be clear Mar." Marco snapped at him visibly irritated.

"Sorella!" 

"We know Mario, we miss her too but what's in there to scream about? And who's ghost are you talking about?" Enzo questioned while dad and Leo were suppressing their laughs watching Mario standing stupefied.

"You have gone mad Mar!"

"You need to see a doctor!"

"Wait let me call one!"

"Is he high on something?"

"It's possible!"

"SHUT UP!" Mario yelled cutting of the rant of my brothers. Like seriously? High? Doctor? Mad? Ghosts? Well, this is them for you. Anyways successfully silencing others he pointed at the sofa where I was sitting enjoying the free show without popcorn in my hand. They are hilarious in person. No matter how cold they come out in public but I have never seen such a bunch of similar idiots in my life excluding my siblings back in India. They are a different species altogether as well. 

Following Mario's finger, they turned to me and stood rooted at their spots just like Mario had been a few moments ago. 

"Sorella!" They screamed in unison.

Coming back to their senses they ran up to me, just the way dad and Leo did and hugged me. This was a more intense hug. Instead of two, there were five pairs of hands around me now, crushing me under their weight.

"Well it's good to meet you too but it will be a pleasure if you guys will release me now, It's starting to hurt," I said.

Releasing me from their hold they sat on either side of me in a line and started shooting all types of comments and questions that you could ever possibly think of. From food to clothes to health to my journey back here. 

"Ok, ok stop now. Since I have answered the majority of your questions I have something for you guys. It's a gift and in return, I want a promise. I have a deal that is beneficial for us. So firstly, I will show you your surprise and then we will discuss the deal. I want a promise that you will listen to me before reacting to anything. Promise?"

"Promise!" Dad said after a while whilst my brothers were still in deep thoughts.

"Promise?" I repeated myself looking at them.

"Promise!" They sighed but gave in eventually.

"Ok then," I took a deep breath and shouted, 

"Come in!"
