I didn’t understand why at first, but when we curled up together on your couch to watch it—your head on my collarbone and your breath on my neck—I finally understood. They’re just people trying to make it in life.
Just like you.
Maybe just like me.
You fell asleep halfway through the film, but I didn’t mind. It just meant that I could hold you longer than if you were awake.
