I woke up in the middle of an alley.
My money was gone.
My coat was gone.
My cigarettes were gone.
I was missing a shoe.
And I saw someone’s face hovering above mine.
It wasn’t you.
“You okay there, man?”
I stepped back and stood up, clutching my head. I groaned.
“Oh god, what happened?”
My stomach lurched. “I think… I think I’m going to be sick.”
I jumped to the side and threw up in the closest dumpster until there was nothing left.
I wiped my mouth and turned around. The guy was still there.
He wrapped an arm around my shoulder. “C’mon, lets get you cleaned up.”
