(wrote when mcc superstars was on!)

....

"That was fucking amazing!" Sapnap yelled, hearing himself echo through his headphones.

"We are literally the best, fuck all them" George snickered. His clicking and sounds of keyboard being pressed played through the discord call, weirdly,  all of their mics were echoing today. "Dont you guys live together? why are you always on a discord call separately?" george huffed with a playful voice.

Dream chuckled. "Why do you always ask that"

"Yeah george, jealous?"

George blew air through his nose and began to defend himself. The room around sapnap was quite silent and homey, well of course george was interrupting that silence with his bickering. He always loved the after calls of the dream team after mcc. Their calls consisted of trash talk, arguing, and what they could have done better. The monitor hummed. Sapnaps eyes peered around the room trying to find something to focus on as the three talked.

The sound of light pattering on the window began to obtain sapnaps attention. The rain drops clashed with one another and rolled down the thin layer of glass, how aesthetically pleasing. One again, his eyes darted around outside, trying to focus on something interesting but nothing really caught his eyes.

"Sapnap?" A voice called out to him but didn't really seem to grab at his attention. "Nick." The voice said once again.

"Oh, sorry, I got distracted" Sapnap replied, softening his voice. He pondered for a moment as he stared at the green rim around his icon glowing. "What were you guys saying?"

"Dream just asked if your video was edited yet you idiot." The British accent sounded annoyed yet playful.

"Oh right" Sapnap had totally forgotten about his video. Its been left unedited for months. He had no excuse now.

"He forgot! He forgot!" George taunted, laughing historically. The echoing of georges laugh was annoying and loud. Sapnaps eyes furrowed and turned down his volume. His head swung back and faced the ceiling. George kept picking at him, laughing again.

"Oh shut it, at least I dont have dream simping over you and editing your videos."

"Okay, okay, you guys act like little middle school children." Dream intruded on the arguing of the two men.

"George started it." Sapnap whined.

"Enough" Dream bubbled a wheeze, clicking and dragging something on his computer.

The rain hasnt stopped sprinkling, instead it grew louder. Even though the window is closed, sapnap could still smell the gentle rain falling from the dim sky. His mind was blank and calm.

"Are you guys dating yet." George snickered.

Dream and Sapnap both grew quiet like they were communicating with silence. They never even told george about the news. Quite funny actually, they planned to stay a secret from everyone but knowing george, he would constantly ask and never stop.

George scoffed, he grew louder with every question. sapnap felt his cheeks heat up. He reminisced back to their confessions at the pool, it made him very squiggly and giggly. He couldn't stop smiling. His heart felt like it could burst out his chest and fly up to the clouds and never come back down.

"Hello?" sapnap and dream could hear the annoyance in the olders voice. He had been asking for more than a minute, it was obvious he got tired of asking.

Dreams soft laughter echoed in his headphones, "well, yes, yes we are dating" the way he talked, you can just tell he was smiling like an idiot. "but we want to keep it on the down low for a while. Sapnaps words."

"gay."

"George-" Dream bubbled a dry wheeze.

Sapnap couldn't help but laugh along as well. Now that the cats out if the bag, whats gonna happen now? Would dream flirt with george still or would he stop? All these thoughts about dnf scatter his brain. Sapnaps thoughts fill with fans gushing about dnf and creating fake ideas and wants of their friendship. He hates it, so, so much. Sapnap could feel himself get angry, he shouldn't be this jealous but he is.

Then, his mind uncovered a part he forced himself to forget, even if it was just a few days ago. That phonecall. A phonecall he swore wouldn't get to him but I the end it did. Sapnap felt anxious. He wants to forget it, he wants to destroy that memory but when you're here sitting and doing nothing your mind uncovers a memory you wish you hadn't.

"Im-im gonna head to bed." Sapnap quickly says goodbye before watching his screen turn neon blue. He watches the the half circle spin like as if it were a dog chasing its tail. "updating... please wait" spreads across one of his monitors, numbers appearing and counting higher. The humming of his pc comforts his running thoughts. The letters become blurred and mixed with the neon blue. He stares blankly at his computer monitor as he tries to calm down.

"Sap?" The door creaked, soft but heavy footsteps grew closer to the boy who sat depressed in his chair.

Before dream would put out another word, sapnsps ringtone boomed across the silent room. There was no caller ID but sapnap still seemed spooked. This made dream curious, he wondered if it was a scam caller but judging by the way sapnap reacted, he predicted that it was something terrible. "Sapnap.. are you okay? Did your number get leaked?" Worry laced in dreams desperate voice.

Silience.

"Hey, baby. Whats wrong?"

more silence followed.

dream sighed, "your computer shut down, why are you still staring at it? tell me whats wrong."

sapnap shut his eyes tightly. His fists balled up, he couldn't keep it in anymore.

"I think we shouldn't be together."

Sapnaps words cut through dream like a knife. His heart dropped, he couldn't even stand straight anymore. His eyes widened as his mouth went dry.

"What?" Dream gulped.
