A gentle glow washed over the concrete floor of the pool, colors calmly swaying with the cyan water. The soft sound of small ripples crashing together was pleasing to look at. The wind swaying with the water and clashing upon the nearby pool wall.
Beads of water lay upon their stomach and face, not wanting to clash with the chlorine-filled water. The damp hair was tangled and clumped into small pieces.
Sapnap moved around the warm water. The water mimicked his movements with large waves, all bubbling up to the surface from below. The dark weather covered up his face but the neon clear water was able to make out some of his pretty features. The distorted body rolled and moved around, causing even more ripples.
Small waves crashed upon the other man in the water, slowly riding up to him but never fully succeeding.
The broad shoulders watched with interest in his eyes as the other danced with the water. He was in awe, he felt as if he fell in love all over again.
"Isn't this fun?" Sapnaps voice slowly grows closer and louder. "Dream?"
He shook his head. "Sorry what?"
Sapnap laughed and sunk deep in the water, only his head was to be seen above the cyan water.
Dream blinks to register what had been said to him. Bubbles began to escape from sapnaps mouth as he blew on the water, splashing some on dream.
"Oh! Yeah, it's been a little while since we've visited this place again." His eyes fixated on the familiar ledge. His memory was a bit blurry but not blurry enough to forget where it all began.
"Yeah." Sapnap followed his eyes, raising an eyebrow at the not so familiar ledge. "What are you staring at?" He hummed.
Dream huffed in disappointment. Seemed like sapnap had forgotten where they made love. It was a very special spot and so very dear to him. He looked back at sapnap who was still trying to figure out. A bloom of sadness entered his big heart.
His upper body half became to feel cold, he lowered himself in the warm water and faced sapnaps level. He smiled at his boyfriend but not enough to fake it.
"Why are you so glum all of a sudden? Was that spot special or something?" Sapnap was confused and tried to think. He was as clueless as a squirrel.
Dream groans. "If your small peanut brain remembered, that's where it all began, sap"
A loud "o" sound dragged from sapnaps mouth. "I remember now!" He laughed with a small tint of rosy cheeks, enough for dream to tell.
He nodded and the feeling returned of utter silence. The water was still since none of them dared to move an inch. They both stared at each other like a staring contest.
They'd been here for a few hours now, playing in the water, eating out of the water, and talking. All their futures had each other in them, although they aren't sure how long they would be able to go on without breaking the truth to everyone.
Dream parts his lips to say something, anything at all but nothing. His mind is rushing through every topic, his mouth works slowly. Just beneath his ribcage, he could feel it turn, in a good way. He doesn't know if he should let that thought escape his mouth or if he should capture it and never let it go.
Before he could even speak, sapnap beat him to it. "When are we able to tell everyone?" His voice had softened and calmed down. He felt himself get hot from those words that had just escaped from sapnaps lips. He griped his lip with his teeth, barely enough to draw blood.
Dream gulped before answering, "What?"
"I'm.. I'm tired of everyone making you and George a 'couple', I'm tired of you flirting with George, I'm tired of everyone shipping you with someone that's not me." Sapnap looked down at the pool floor, his torso now above the water and flinching from the cool air. "I don't want you to be someone else's, clay."
