Chapeter 1:How It Started

"clear the school, get everyone out! NOW!" I heard this from the announcements its in a terrified voice. The teachers begin pushy us and yelling to go quicker and be as quite as possible. I quickly look for my best friend Zamaria we make eye contact and meet up. I look around for Rita, Maggie and Kayla. They are no where in sight. I began to worry but I can't see over the crowds of students. As my teacher pushes me out the school door I notice Rita. I feel the weight of the world of my shoulders. She sees me and a wave my hand for her to come to me. As she walks forward holding hands with Kayla. We all hug. "Hey guys I'm so glad we found I have been looking everywhere. Where's Maggie?!" I whispered. "We can't find her we looked all over" Kayla and Rita quietly replied. I tear runs down my check. I know what's happening to the world know I see it all over. I know what could happen to Maggie and I worry. Zamaria, Rita, Kayla and I leave the school we know we have to find somewhere to go and somehow to survive. We go to a small shed near the school and peek out the window to see if Maggie ever comes. There is no sight of her anywhere. We head back to the school parking lot once everyone has left. I told them "we should take a car, we may not know how to try but I could figure it out. It's the best way to travel and maybe we will find Maggie or our families". "NO WAY! You are not driving a car as long as I'm in it" Zamaria replies. I flick her off and we all giggle. "I guess she's right" Rita explains "we need to find food and shelter as fast as possible and maybe even people". We all jump in the car. "Here goes nothing" I say with a worried look on my face. I adjust the seat and begin to drive. We come across a super market. "Turn here" Zamaria says quickly. We all a load out of the car and walk into the store.
