Something is awfuly wrong.

"Please stop" The female-ish cenobite said, with zero emotion in her voice as she stood still.
The male demon sighed as he snapped back into reality, his breath creaking in his throat.
"It is annoying" She continued, finaly moving her eyes to look at him.
"I do not know what you speak of" The male straighted up properly, trying to get back into his always-perfect stance.
"Please, kid yourself all you wish, but not me" The other Cenobite hissed, her vocal chords vibrating in her wide open throat.
The male sighed in annoyance.
She aproached him quietly, making almost no sound as she took steps over the flesh pieces scatered around the wooden floor.
"You have been awful theese few years" She said, looking in the same direction as him.
"So have you." He spat back.

They never really hated each other like this. If anything, they actualy helped each other, liked each other.
Gave pleasure to humans together.
Open throat changed the very same day that Pinhead did.
A brand new human has found the Lament configuration.
A whole new soul to give infinite pleasures to.
And the hell priest fell far from what he used to be.
He saw the human's face, the pure fear lingering behind their eyes, their shaky hands holding on the box.
And everything went downhill.
Pinhead ended up ordering his followers to stand down. None of them ever laid a finger on the human. Not even him.
Open throat could feel that something was wrong. Pinhead would never just waste a human of good suffering.
And lately, he's even been visiting the damned human.
He's been more quiet than usual, if she ever even saw him in their hell.

"You are not thinking of leaving us again are you?" Open throat asked, not moving her eyes from a specific piece of flesh on the ground.
"Why would it bother you?" Pinhead asked with the same emotionless voice that she spoke in.
"Are you, or are you not?" The female cenobite finaly blinked, looking up at him with only her eyes.
"I... have questions for the mortal" He made a longer pause between his words.
Open throat could feel her expression twist into a somewhat disgusted one.
"How could you even drag with them?" She started to hiss, snapping to look at him.
He let out a low sigh, looking down on her, annoyed that she keeps picking deeper and deeper at his personal matters.
"I am not dragging with them" He turned his back to her, slowly strutting his way foward.
"Yes you are. I belive a good term to use would be... obsessing... over them" She spat at his back, clearly not done with this conversation.

"You disgust me" Her expression twisted once more.
Pinhead stopped walking, turning to her only halfly.
"Have you finnished?" He asked, the lack of expression still present.
"Off with you. Go. Be with that human filth of yours." Open throat pointed straight ahead, at Pinhead.
He barely moved, turning back, and phasing through a wall, with no issue.

You put down your pen, leaning your head back.
Ow...
A satisfying, yet somewhat painful crack came from your neck.
You massaged your face a little, picking up the papers you've been working on the entire evening.
Proof-reading and skipping through some scenes, you came back to that stuck point.
It was a love story.
And like any good love story it needed a confession.
You always struggle with those...
A man has to confess to his long-time crush. A classic scenario, yet so difficult to write.
You sighed, putting the papers and your writing glasses down.
You looked around the room, searching for something that could help.

Your eyes landed on the box.
You had to smile to yourself.
To think you were deathly afraid when you first opened it years ago.

You decided to not touch it much after that. Could call out some unwanted guests.
Like that poor neck woman.
She seemed to hate you for no real reason. She gave you the creeps too.
You were much rather around Pinhead. He was somewhat of a gentleman actualy, even though you had the slight feeling that he could rip you to shreds if he decided.

Maybe it's time to eat.
Checking the time, confirmed it.
You got up, making your way into the black, lightless kitchen.
You reached for the lightswitch, only to scream out loud and slam yourself into the wall afterwards.
You sighed heavily in relief.
"Apologies. I did not mean to frighten you" The large Cenobite stared at you from across the kitchen.
"No- It's fine, geez... you didn't startle me, you just gave me a heart attack" You nervously chuckled, quickly thinking of how stupid you must've looked at that second.
"Good evening" You sighed, bowing your head down after you collected yourself.
He gave a small nod back.

It seemed only logical to be polite from the first time you met him.
You bowed down entirely when you first saw the hell priest.
From that point on it just became tradition, ending up as a small head bow.

"So, what brings the mightly hell priest to my humble home?" You slowly aproached, meaning to get to the cupboard.
"I do not know truly... I belive I only wanted to... see you. To make sure you are doing well" Pinhead conected his hands at crotch height, getting out of your way.
He always got ultimately nervous when you got too close.
Something hurt in his chest when you were near. Like... vibrations.
"Well aren't you the sweetest. I bet that OT didn't want to let you go" You smiled, ramaging around a drawer for a knife.
"She... did not. No" Pinhead remembered the earlier argument.

As you walked out of the kitchen, the demon followed you.
You leaned over the love papers again, still stuck.
"What is it that you are working on today?" He asked, slightly leaning over the work table, somewhat curious.
He loved your passion for writing. Sometimes, you let him proof-read anything you wrote, he was glad you trusted him with your hobby.
He laid his hand on a paper, reading some lines. Another love story...
"Excuse me" you grabbed Pinhead's hand, moving it off the paper and sorting it out with the rest.
It twitched with him.
A lot.
You never ever touched him.
Those awful vibrations came back, almost hurting his chest.

"Sorry- didn't mean to scare you" You smiled at him apologeticaly.
"The entire evening I've been trying to get down a confession. Like for the story I mean. Man has to confess his feelings for his crush, but I just... can't seem to put it in words" You said, scratching your head with the pen.
Pinhead walked around the table without a word, looking at the papers.
"What is the man like?" He asked blankly.
"Uh... I dunno, he's elegant, higher... an important, serious man" You summed the character up.
Pinhead's eyes went from the words slowly to your hand.

The way you touched him.
He... he felt again.
The vibrations in his chest.
His beartbeat.
His feelings.
It's been so long.

"When... I am with you, I feel again..." The Cenobite demon said very quietly, resting his hand next to yours.
"Hm, not a bad start" You smiled, writing the begining down on a note, next to the paper.
"I had belived that... my feelings were burried under layers of darkness" He slowly turned to look at your smiling face.
"Okay okay... keep it coming" You wrote on, completly unaware.
"From the first time I laid my eyes on you, I knew I was smithen" Pinhead contined as you wrote.
"I was far too forgotten to relize it... but I had fallen in love. With you"
You nodded with a smile, writing every word down.
"I love you, (Y/n)..." He finaly said the words, waiting for you to notice.
"I Love you-" You stopped writing, keeping the pen glued to the paper.
"Excuse me?" You slowly turned around to look at him.
"You have heard correctly" He responded, slightly turning his head to the side, the small, unnoticable smile he had, dissapearing off his pale lips.
You snaped to the note paper, and back to him.
"All of that is honest. I do not care for your reaction. It's simply something I had to... get off my chest, as you humans say"

There was a long while of silence.

"Is-"
"That's so fucking sweet of you" You took your glasses off, trying your best not to melt and cry right there.
You leaned your back on the table, smiling uncontrolably.
"How long? How long have you been thinking this?" You asked after a while, putting your glasses on the table behind you.
"Long enough I belive... three years at least. Time goes fast when I am in your presence" He admitted, fearing that he may have said his words of adorment far too soon.
"Oh honey... If I could, I'd kiss you" You said with the same dumb smile, grabbing both his partly gloved hands.
It twitched with him again.
You kissed them, sending shivers down Pinhead's broken spine.
"I love you too darlin'..." You smiled up at him.
His heart beat was absolutely unbearable, but it was so... such a good feeling.
The hell priest felt alive again.
Not a demon.
Not an angel.
Just... living.

"Let's finish this chapter together" You smiled, squeezing his hands.
"We're both the writers now..." You finished, still holding the Cenobite demon close to yourself.
