As I walk threw the hallway that leads to Desmonds office, I can't help but see a problem with me asking him such a thing, I stop in front of the door ready to knock, but before my head makes contact with the door I freez scared that Desmond might blame me for chiefs death, "I forgot that they are childhood friends," I say to myself. I take a step back away from the door, I think to myself, "no, its a bad idea," I turn away from the door to head back to the elevator as I reached the door, it opens and Desmond is standing right infront of me.
"Are you here to see me Tobias, or is it my wife you would like to see?" He says looking down on me.
"You, I am here to see you," I say, looking like a dog, trying not to make eye contact with him.
"Ok shall we talk in my office then?" He says patting me on my shoulder and gesturing me to his office.
I walked in slowly scared that he might pull out a gun and shoot me between my eyes, "What do you need?" He says, taking a seat at his desk, and pulls out his glasses.
"I have a proposal for you, That little girl that was with me at the funeral, she is a Psychic, and I can see that she has the potential to do good things wither her ability," I say, as he puts his glasses on.
"You want her to be part of the N.Y.H.S?"
"Yes sir, I do."
"It is very unlikely for someone her age to-".
"I will be in-charge of her, She helps me relax when i get stressed" I say cutting him off.
Silence fills the room, I look into Desmond's eyes, expressionless, dead faced, my heart starts to pound out of my chest, Desmond stands up and walks over to the filing cabinet, pulls out my files and a another folder that has no name on it. He sits back down and starts to russell threw my file papers. I eyes go big when he pulls out my hiring forum, May warned me that when that forum is out then you have a good chance of getting fired. I am can feel a drop of sweat lining down my eyebrow and down my cheek. He then takes the other Folder and puts something on the hiring forum and places the new folder into my file.
He looks up at me, and laughs saying, "I have never had anyone look so scared in my office before, I am not going to fire you, so don't worry, Chloe is now your responsibility," He says placing the files back into the cabinet.
"Thank you sir," I say, I take a big gulp of air.
"Oh and Tobias I have never had someone interrupted me before," he says, walking towards me. "And I don't like it, so dont do it again," he says getting right in my face "And I am also not the type of person that judges someone for a mistake, even if he was my childhood friend," he says giving a few little soft slaps on my cheek.
I left the room feeling a lot better about my situation with the boss, as I get back into my room I start to set up a bed for Chloe, in my walk in closet.
A knock at my door I call them in and when the doors open, it's May standing in the door, "How did it go?"
"He forgave me, he said that he knows it was an accident."
"Oh thank goodness, I was worried that he might fire you." She says with a nervous laugh.
"I am glad he didn't, but I want you to meet someone, she is new the the Bodyguard actually."
Mays face lights up and she asks, "Who?!"
"She will be here soon actually, I think that you will like her her name is-"
"Tobias someone is here for you" Ze says standing in the doorway.
We walked out and little Chloe was sitting on the couch with co-co sitting on her suitcase, "Chloe" I say sitting next to her "I am glad your here, I want you to meet the crew." I say taking her hand and standing her up. "This is May, Ze, Shadow Razor, Phoenix and Damian, Guys I want you to meet Chloe, she is the newest member of the N.Y.H.S first wing bodyguard."
"Hello its nice to meet you," Ze says politely.
"Welcome to the family" Phoenix says grasping her hand in his and giving a firm handshake.
"Oh my gosh you are the cutest thing I have ever seen!" May says falling to the floor in excitement. "I am May But you can call me big sister." she says wrapping her arms around Chloe and giving her a tight hug.
Shadow Razor scoffs and says "I can't believe that the boss would let a little girl into the N.Y.H.S."
Phoenix says to shadows comment "I was 6 when I joined, and you were only 13 shadow, and back then you were the youngest in the N.Y.H.S."
"Still, I just dont want to see her get hurt" he says, May turns her head sharply and says to shadow, "Awe Mike, you do have a heart under all of that hate." Shadow razor's face turns a bright red he turns away and says "I don't, I just don't want her to get in my way." He says, proudly storming off to his room.
"We all know thats a lie Mick Bayer!" May yells after him.
"Shut up Killic!" He says slamming his door.
May laughs and pats Chloe on the head "Don't mind him, he seems like a jerk but he has a real soft spot when it comes to kids."
Chloe smiles and looks up at me and says "I never had a family befor"
I kneel down and took her hand in mine and I say, "well now you do, and if you need anything all you need to do is ask."
She nods May runs up to me and gets really close so that she is stepping my my shoes, she whispers in my ear and says "Guess what... its your job to feed everyone tonight." She says, stepping back with a big smile on her face she laughs and picks up chloe sits her down onto the couch and turning on the t.v.
"Right I guess ill start cooking."
