She cowered in fright behind the door of her bedroom when she heard a loud crash as the front door was thrown open. She heard heavy, breathing and footsteps coming her way and before she could get away and find another place to hide the bedroom door was thrown back and there stood in all his glory a man that she has come to love more than her life and hating him at the same time for the anguish he had put her through.
She relaxed and went to stand in front of him and reached out her hand to touch his gorgeous face but as soon as she did that he quickly stepped away from her, disdain and disgust etched across his features. It hurt her but she didn't let it show and then she felt movement behind him and she looked behind his shoulders and her eyes widened as she realized that they were the royal protecters. He then spoke and what he said next brought her whole world crushing down.
TAKE HER TO THE DUNGEN!!! SHE'S TO BE KILLED TOMORROW AT DAWN, FOR THE CRIME OF CONSPIRING TO ASSASSINATE THE FUTURE QUEEN AND MY MATE!!!
As they grabbed hold of her, she stood in shock as she heard this, her mind kept repeating the same things over and over again, "No! he can not do this to me, I'm his mate and the mother of his unborn child"!
"He can not betray me, this is a sick joke" her mind screamed!!
If only that were true, when she felt his hand wrap around her heart and pull it out of her chest at the break of dawn the next day.
A tear slid from her eyes in that one last heart beat as she gazed at him looking straight into his disgust and hatred filled eyes. He looked back at her with a smirk on his lips as he stood in front of her in his true lycan form with her heart in his hand. As she slipped into eternal sleep, she gave a loving smile and said the words that will haunt his dreams for many days to come...
"I love you my love and I forgive you"....
