Everything is blurry, the light that emits to the the vision of the young girl's eyes were the light from the ceiling,
"She'll be fine, she just need to know the way too--"
The young baby closed her eyes only hearing muffled sounds.
"But Orito! What would you do for your daughter?!" A scream was heard. The baby opened its eyes one more time, vision still blurry, but saw a shadowy figure approach her. "Hey there sweetheart, you don't know me, but this is your papa here. You see baby girl, Your Papa has a very important job to do, and I might not be with you, but can you do something for your pap?" The male said.
The baby extended her baby hands trying to grab on to the male, "U- uwah!" The baby laughed.
The lady holding the girl had a sadden look, she looked up to her husband with tears in eyes. "Orbito. What do we-" She was cut off by the baby's sneeze. "Uwahah!" The baby laughed. The woman looked down in sorrow scared of what might happen. The male grabbed her chin to look at him
The husband spoke, "Uzu, my love, look at me. I know this is where we part ways but I have something to give before you leave, and when she grows up strong, give it to her please, this is my last request as both for you to take care of our baby girl." He caressed her cheek causing the woman to tear. He whipped the away with his thumb, she gave a sad smile to which in return gave her a grin, he looked down to the baby in her arms sucking her thumb,
"Hey angel, I have a gift for you, look here." He pulled out a pocket watch out of his pocket and shook it in the air, the baby reached out her hands to try to grab the sparkling watch out of his hand.
He scoffed and handed it to her. To which she put it in her mouth. He laughed at the cuteness of his daughter, and the looked back at his wife. "It's time to leave or they'll come any moment." He assured her to which she nodded, but before giving him a kiss on the cheek. "Please stay safe." She said he nodded. She quickly made it out on the back and quickly too off on the forest in the nightly abyss.
"And you too." He whispered to see her trail fading in the dark. The woman didn't stop, she ran as far as her feet could take her, the baby still had the sparkling pocket watch in her mouth not letting it go. The Woman prayed that her husband was safe, but thought too soon.
Back at the cottage a bunch of armed men banged on the door and barged in the house. Aiming at the man that was sitting at his desk reading a book undisturbed, the chief of the military men came up to the man that was reading. "Mr Hokubu, you know why we're here right? It wouldn't be surprising if you gave us the watch, then we wouldn't disturb you again, right?"The male spoke out.
"I would have told you of if you weren't for you Soldier scumbs like you!" He spoke harshly. The chief glared at him and snapped his finger alarming the soldiers. "Beat him." Without hesitation Orbito was on the ground getting kicked and thrashed around. Blood was splattered on the ground, they held him from his head. "One more time Mr. Hokubu. Tell me where the pocket watch leads us to the treasure. Or '' He pulled out a gun and pointed to his head.
The injured male smirked and looked at the chief with a glare. He spits his blood on his boots and speaks. "Good luck finding it." was his last words before a loud bang was heard, never to be heard again.
