I'm so mad at Danielle for leaving me at school; so now I have to walk home. She does this whenever her on and off again boyfriend Todd breaks up with her. Just because you're having problems with your boyfriend doesn't mean you have to take it out on me. I like to take long walks sometimes, but when you're carrying a ton of books and binders it gets pretty exhausting. As I was walking I start to hear footsteps behind me. Oh great, the dayI forget my phone is the day some weirdo is stalking me. Can this day get any better? To get out of danger, I start picking up my pace to shake the stalker, but the person was still behind me. So I ran for my life to the next block around Sycamore Street. which was only two blocks from my house, but to make my day even better my books started to fall out of my book bag. I can't believe forgot to zipper my book bag! Well, I didn't like Geometry and Chemistry anyways, I rather save myself than those books. I finally got to Everbrook Road, which is only one block from my house. Looks like I actually have the chance of living because the stalker is still following me, to my annoyance. If I get home alive I'm going to kill my sister. Just when I thought my day could get any worse I tripped over a rock. This gave my stalker the opportunity to kill me or worse because I felt a shadow hovering me. Why me of all the people in this world? Scared that the person was going to kill me I started screaming. Kicking was my first choice, but both of my legs were throbbing with pain.
"Ivy, it's me, James, from school." James said covering my mouth. Pushing his hands away from my mouth I glare at him.
"Why would you follow me you psycho, you scared the crap out of me?" I said sternly.
"One, I was not following you since my house is around here." He said defensively. "Two, out of nowhere you started running like there was no tomorrow, and three here's the books you dropped." He said while handing me my textbooks.
"Sorry, I didn't know." I apologized as I was putting my books in my bag. Giving me a warm and sincere smile James picks up my bag and crouches down as if he was going to give me a piggyback ride. Confused, I look at him with a blank stare.
"Well, are you going on my back or not?" He questioned.
"I don't need your help." I said haughty, trying to get up. Stinging in pain I sat right back down on the sidewalk.
"See, you do need my help." He retorted.
"I can go home just fine." I denied.
"Either you get on my back or I'm carrying you home by force." He said seriously. Admitting defeat, I hung on to his back. I've never been this close to a boy before, unless you count my brother Cam. "Where's your house?" James asked.
"It's the white house with a blue Mercedes in the front once we get into Maple Road. " I answered. For a more lean than muscular type of guy, James sure did have a lot of strength. Plus, he had a nice citrus, sweet, and woodsy smell to him. It reminded me of summer and how I used to drink lemonade with my dad while he read me stories outside on the porch. The whole piggy back ride to my house James and I didn't talk and just let the noise of cars and children engulf us. I didn't mind the silence, since I was still embarrassed from thinking James was a stalker. When we got to my house James carried me all the way to the door. " Thanks." I smiled sheepishly.
"Anything for my sweetheart." He grinned. So I punched him in the arm for calling me sweetheart. "Ouch, that hurts." He said playfully hurting.
"Sure it does." I said rolling my eyes.
"Well I better go, see you tomorrow Ivy." James says cheerfully as he was leaving. As I was beginning to walk upstairs I catch my mom grinning at me. Something tells me that she saw James and I.
"Who's that boy Ivy?" My mom said with interest.
"A new kid from my school." I said brushing her off, while walking up the stairs.
"Oh." She sighed, disappointed. My mom can be very annoying when it comes to my social life, even though I don't have one. Walking in my bedroom with pain, I lay down on my bed recollecting the events that just happened today.
