Do you guys wanna know what's really sad? Do you?
I'm 18 and a senior in high school and I have yet to have a boyfriend. Scratch that, I haven't even had a kiss yet.
Except that one time when I met Sadie's grandpa and went in for a kiss on the cheek and he accidentally kissed me on the lips. But I really don't want to count that. Or even think about that again. He even giggled when it happened.
And no, I haven't told anyone that I'm a kiss virgin, even my best friend Sadie doesn't know, and I'm not going to tell anyone. Do you know how humiliating that is when you are A SENIOR in high school. It may have to do with the fact that I didn't really 'glow up' until last summer, but I could have at least kissed literally anyone by now.
Sadie and I were more of the 'weirder' kids at school. Mainly because we obsessed over One Direction and watched Something Borrowed every weekend when we stayed at each others' houses. A lot of the kids that go to my high school acted older than they really were. That's what you get for living in LA I guess. The other kids mostly went out to parties, while we stayed in and made stupid YouTube videos.
I slammed my locker shut, only to be surprised by Sadie hiding behind it, "Oh god, you scared me!"
"Sorry, but you should really be more aware of your surroundings. I've been standing there for 5 minutes."
"Oh, I must have been day dreaming."
"About the Ticket To Love dance?" She asked, "Me too. But I don't want to be paired up with some jock that's way to into himself or the creepy sword collector guy."
"Raymond? He's actually nice. He's in my math class."
"Well you can go to the dance with Creepy Raymond then."
I rolled my eyes, as we headed into the cafeteria. We lined up to grab our food, which was actually not that bad today. Burgers and tater tots. I grabbed a water then went to look for our usual lunch spot but seen a group of people sitting there.
"Ugh, we are gonna have to sit somewhere else today," I groaned. I liked our usual spot. It had the best view of the whole cafeteria. We could literally see everyone and where they sat. Sadie and I have actually seen a lot of drama go down by a friend not sitting with another. Now we will have to sit by the trash cans, where every kid dumps their garbage and they never make it in the can.
"What? Let's just sit at our table. Ozzy is there."
"Exactly why I don't care to sit there," I said walking over to an empty table.
"You guys grew up together and you can't even sit with him?"
I sighed, "Our moms are friends. I've only ever tolerated him being around."
"Sure, you guys are destined to be together," She smirked.
"I'd rather date Jack."
"Ew, Jack Simons that's in a relationship with Amy?" I nodded my head to her question, "That would never happen."
"Hey!"
"Not because you aren't good enough for him. But they have been together since like what, 7th grade. They are def going to be the couple still together at our 10 year high school reunion."
I laughed as I took a bite of my burger. Sadie mentioning that Jack and Amy have been together since the 7th grade made me feel more single than I already did. How have they stayed together so long? I feel like both of them would have broken up by now with different options once we got to high school.
