Ticket To Love

Chapter 2

Welcome to Ticket To Love! Today's Question is...

Question 2) What genre of music do you listen to? And what is your favorite song?

Answer: Alternative or Pop Punk. My favorite song is You Only Get What You Give by New Radicals. 

 Pulling up to school this morning felt a little weird. Like I know I only just answered the second question of the Ticket to Love quiz but I wonder if people are going to be talking about it and asking people what they answered to see if they had similar answers. That actually got me thinking, are people going to just put answers they think the person they want to be paired up with would say. You can totally opt out of test and just go with someone you want to but every student usually does the test.

  I walked to my locker after my math class and the whole vibe at school felt off. Everyone seemed to be talking in hushed tones and it sounded serious. When I got to my locker I was met with Sadie who seemed out of breath, "There you are!" She said, "I've been looking all over for you!"

"Here I am," I shut my locker door, "Whats up with everyone today?"

"Amy and Jack broke up."

I stopped dead in my tracks, "What?"

"Yeah, I heard from a few people that Jack decided to apply at a different college than Amy and she found out and broke up with him."

"Ouch. I wonder how they will act towards each other today."

"Who cares," She said, adjusting her boobs so they looked bigger, "Jack is single now. Every girl is going to be after him and I want first dibs."

"I wonder if they will both do the whole Ticket to Love quiz now for the dance?"

"Oh good idea. I should convince Jack to do that and just try to match my answers to his."

I rolled my eyes, "Isn't that cheating? I mean the whole point of this quiz is to meet someone you are compatible with. Not stealing answers so you're matched with someone you think is hot."

"Well, you do it your way and when you are going to the dance with some weirdo, I will have Jack on my arm and be the hottest couple at the dance."

 Sadie walked away without saying goodbye in search of Jack. I'm not going to lie, Jack was a good looking guy but he didn't seem to be the most interesting person to me. As far as I know, he's all about football, partying, and Amy. Well, not her anymore. I remember in middle school when they first got together, the next day, every girl seemed to be down in the dumps. And yeah, Jack is super attractive and I will admit, at one point in time, I had a crush on him too but that went away after like a week. 

 I wonder how Amy was feeling after all this. She always seemed to be more in love than him. She literally waited on him hand a foot. Maybe it was because she was so scared to lose him. It has to be hard on both of them. Having been together for so long and just now breaking up when school is almost over. They don't even have time to get into a new relationship now, without having to end it so soon before everyone leaves for college. Maybe that's a good thing, though. I think that it could actually give them time to find themselves now. Although, being alone for the first time can be a scary thought. The thing about loneliness is that everyone is so scared to feel it that they will be with people who are bad for them just to feel a little bit of contentment.

 It must feel weird for Amy and Jack too, knowing the whole school is talking about a sad moment in their life. Walking around the halls, I've already heard some mean things said about both of them. Like "Thank god jack finally dumped her sorry ass. He's too hot for her," or  "How did Jack let Amy go, she has one of the nicest asses in school."
